{Husband's Letters}

Husband's Letters: Dear Mrs. Loerke, when I had the flu last week I asked if you would pick up some Sierra Mist at the store, but you came home with soda, soup, Gatorade, oranges, and ICE CREAM. You are the best Dr. I know. Dear Dallas Ice Storm, I thought you were going to equip us with multiple sledding opportunities. Where is the white stuff? Dear Papa & Vic, thanks for telling Little about the MR340 Kayak Race. Every day is like Christmas around here as I watch her excitement grow. Can't wait to run ground crew with you guys. Dear Emma, you always save me the tumors on your oranges. Reason #967 why girl roommates are AWESOME.

The Mr. asks: What's your favorite fruit?

HAPPY FREAKIN WEEKEND!

NOTE: since writing his letters, Mr. Winter decided to dump 4-5" of snow on Dallas. Husband = A HAPPY MAN. Soooo happy, he maybe might have woken me up at 6:30am to go sledding.

Fave fruit: hands down fresh mangos from the Philippines

My parents were in the peace corps there in the 80s so we took a family vacation a few years ago. I had at least one mango every. single. day.

"tumors on your oranges" haha - I've always called them "baby oranges" and they're my favorite too! {grin}

Bananas and strawberries and cantaloupe. I love all fruit, except grapes.

As of last year, my new favorite fruit is raspberries! Unfortunately I can eat a $4 pack in one sitting!

I love apples! I know that seems so boring, but they really are my fav! I could eat them all day long...

I love Mangos...in the Philippines. Here they taste like pine and are under ripenned. There they taste like yum.

haha. Funny, I just looked back and someone else already said Philipino mangos. See...it's true;)

Omg! I just tweeted about these baby oranges the other day! They kind of freak me out... I always feel like I'm eating the orange's unborn child. Tumor is a good one too. I need to google it to find out what's really going on with those things!

Hope you guys enjoy the snow and stay safe!

I love kiwi! But strawberries and mangos are close seconds.

How's this for a sad fact...I have never experienced the joys of sledding! We don't get snow days in Miami, FL. :( I just live vicariously through funny youtube videos.

I will now and forever think of those itty bitty oranges as tumors. ew! lol

My fave fruit is fresh pineapple, and I'm not a fruit person but got used to eating it daily while living in Costa Rica back in the day :) though I've recently been introduced to blueberries as a fun salad topping. Seriously, try it with walnuts and a good O+V dressing over dark green leafies. nom nom nom.

fresh juicy sweet pineapple.

And I can only WISH we had just 4-5 inches of snow! We measured 19" on the back porch on Tuesday, and while that settled a bit and was weighing in at a mere 14" yesterday, today we got another 3-4 inches so we are not ahead on clearing it out at all. The roads are a mess!

You would have had fun with my neighbor today. He had a sled tied onto a four-wheeler and was pulling his little girl all over the 'hood, in pursuit of an ecstatic yellow lab. Hooting and hollering, barking and squealing for hours. I bet they all sleep hard tonight!

Fav fruit is pineapple for sure! But I pretty much love it all! Happy weekend guys!
