Today's Letters: Dear Husband, each morning I find a pile of crumbs on our kitchen counter leading to the edge of our sink. The trail you leave behind from eating your toast is kind of like a treasure map. Dear Homies, as much as we'd love to attend our first Avett Brothers show (you know how we feel about live music) there are more important things like buying our life jackets to float down Big Muddy. Send us a smoke signal if you're interested in attending one of the greatest shows on Earth. Dear Restored O'Keefe & Merritt Gas Stove, still dreaming about owning you one day. That's all. Dear Husband, yesterday one of your articles was published in the Advance Medical Journal. Can I have your autograph or something? So PROUD of you!

What's the best concert you've ever been to? Mr. Loerke and I wrote about our favorite HERE.

It's gotta be Kings of Leon at The Gorge in Washington. What an amazing venue and even radder band! My husband and I even camped it Woodstock-style.

Sorry Em...NASCAR call at TMS saturday night...your tickets are way cheaper though. :)

KT Tunstall at Cambridge Junction or Phatfish at Revive @ Soul Survivor. KT was last year I think Phatfish was closer to 10 years ago!
Both times I was with good friends. I went to KT with my bud Serena and Phatfish with Kerry aka Brains

Hi! how much are you selling them for? My husband and I love the Avett Brothers.

The Mister & I went to see Garth Brooks in Nashville just before Christmas. We've attending quite a few concerts, but this one kept up on our feet the entire time! War Eagle!

I read about you from the rockstar diaries! :)
I would have to say that the greatest show I've ever been to has been Miniature Tigers at Mango's in Houston. It was such a tiny venue, and the band is so incredible live. The lead singer came out and danced with everyone in the crowd! I will never miss an opportunity to see them again!

Green Day. We felt like we owed them more money when the show ended.

Old Crow Medicine Show followed by The Flaming Lips and The pixies. We got to Man Man this month though and I am sure that may place! Congrats to Tim!

I'm a new follower too and I love love your letters! I'd say the best concert I've been to is Celine Dion. Not usually my music of choice and the tickets were free, but golly gee that girl sure has some pipes!

I drove through a significant rainstorm to see Weezer in KC in 2002, which was awesome. It may have been my first "real" live show.

Ben Folds & Barenaked Ladies was the first show I saw with my husband, when I was just his girlfriend.

Switchfoot in one of the last concerts ever at The Gypsey Tea Room.

Such great memories!!

Switchfoot and Relient K was a great one. Great live shows, lots of fun stuff (including a sweet rendition of The Office theme song!)

The Jason Mraz & Mat Kearney show that came through town a few years ago was also pretty great.

Sarah Barellies at House of Blues in Houston.

Go Tim! I have been reading his PA school blog for a while now, and it's awesome!

Fave concert definitely has to be the Dave Matthews Band concert I went to with my boyfriend this past July.

how neat is it that your husband's name got published! congrats.

All I ever wanted was to see jason Mraz live. When he came to Tulsa, mary and I got tickets, and about three songs in he canceled the show because his throat hurt too bad. When he came back a couple months later, I had to go with Matt, who DOES NOT like Mraz. I LOVE him more than any other artist, so he would have been my favorite had I been with the right company...sooo...Matchbox Twenty wins in my book right now.

Oh, my gosh. I would so love to relieve you of those Avett tickets if I wasn't 18 hours and another time zone away. Saw them last year and it was AMAZING. Definitely one of my favorite shows.

But it's hard to beat floor seats to Sir Paul McCartney in Nashville. http://haverootsandwings.blogspot.com/2010/07/sir-paul-mccartney.html

Still to mark of my "Live" list: Mumford and Arcade Fire

dear brooke,
if you can attend bonnaroo this summer you can see mumford, arcade fire, iron & wine, florence + the machine, ray lamontagne, alison krauss + union station, and robert plant and patty griffin in a total of 4 days. we're going and super pumped!

so many awesome singing-with-eyes-closed-music-rocking-through-my-head concerts, but standing out in my mind is an OAR/Jack's Mannequin concert in rochester a few summers ago. it was just what i needed to get away from the superhard classes i was taking at the time, and i went with a group of people who pretty much defined the summer. so fun!

Mumford did a Come Thou Fount cover!!!

we're live music junkies, so it's so hard to pick one. i supppose, though, i should say the dave matthews band concert we went to in the woodlands about 10 years ago. my man proposed to me there! :0) totally didn't expect it.

Addison,

We haven't made it to many festivals, but I saw the Bonnaroo lineup this year and was super sad -- ray lamontagne, florence and alison krauss would all be fabulous on top of mumford and arcade fire. we used to be in nashville, much closer range, but now we're in SC and it's too hard with work!

have so much fun, though!

i think my favorite concert ever was Mat Kearney in Portland about 6 years ago!

Typically, I'd have to say that my favorite concert is whichever one I most recently went to. In this case, it was the awesomeness of Hillsong United at Fair Park Music Hall. Pretty awesome to see that sold out place getting their praise on without reservation. :-)

Its so hard to choose a favorite. Bonaroo 2006 was the best experience of my life, and of the shows I saw there my favorites were STS9, Allman Brothers, and Kings of Leon. Other than Bonaroo, my favorite was Steve Miller Band at chastain park in atlanta.
