Today's Letters: Dear Mr. Loerke, a few days ago you walked in from work with your hair parted on the side of your head (kind of like Donald Trump). Then you proceeded to convince me that you had rocked it that way. all. day. long. Three points for creative use of storytelling, negative four points for sending me into cardiac arrest. Dear Kickball Game, sometimes my inner college athlete comes out and ends up biting me in the ars. Thanks for the reminder that sliding will only leave me with bruised pride and a SEXY battle tat. Dear Phone Call at 4:30pm, you put the biggest smile on my face (see above). Thank you for your donation to our race and for reminding me that God always provides. Dear Husband, a 30 minute drive in rush hour traffic for a free cone at Ben & Jerry's? Yes please! Loved ending our Tuesday together this way. Over and out.

Happy Wednesday, Homies! You're halfway through the week ... you can do it!

Don't forget to enter this week's giveaway! We'll be picking five winners at random, so be sure and leave a comment on our giveaway page sometime before Sunday!

I hope you have a 32 oz bottle of Neosporin and a lot of Sesame Street bandages for THAT scrape! Sorry the ground jumped up and bit you during your kickball game.

are you certain that your injury wasn't caused by a skateboard stopped by a sweet gum ball on the sidewalk?

whit, who doesn't need some mid-week motivation. wed are always hardest for me. but we can do it!

amanda & monica, i wish it was friday! but i'm glad you've found things to be grateful for today. i'm right there with ya on that one given i feel like i've been run over by a mac truck :)

kayla, seriously. i tried sleeping with a bandage on last night but took it off at 3am. it's amazing how many nerves are under your skin!

vic, right ... kickball what? i was skateboarding down the driveway on my kryptonics when i flew off my board courtesy of one of smashley's gumballs. way better story.

han, thanks ... only a matter of time before i'm back to new. our bodies are cool like that.

alysa, does joe know we used to play soccer together? tell him this was nothing compared to those injuries! xoxo

Thank you for the reminder that we are already halfway through the week! I didn't even realize how much stress I was under until that statement made me take a deep breath and practice my "TGIF" smile!

Nice battle wound! I was a college athlete as well. I think it was my goal to get bloody every practice. Ha!

I kid you not, I got the same road burn in November. Looked exactly the same. Only mine wasn't from being sporty, more from being clumsy and trying to save the camera I was holding rather than saving myself from pavement. OIY! I still have the scars from mine. Hope you heal fast!

Battle scars are only for the awesome who get in and play the game. *hands you one of my snazzy pirate bandaids*
