Today's Letters: Dear Betty Loerke, yesterday I came home and found you in the kitchen baking these. Reason #259 why (this) boy roommate is AWESOME. Dear Book, sorry I've been neglecting you lately. This weekend we will be stuck on each other like Band-Aid's. Dear Trader Joe's, holy seizures of awesomeness, Batman. Are you really coming to Dallas?? YOU JUST MADE MY ENTIRE YEAR!!! Dear Husband (who always gets two letters), love you more than your disco chair and the dragons that you slay. Over and out.

What's your favorite thing at Trader Joe's? I'm already dreaming about buying dehydrated mangos, peanut butter filled pretzels, and two-buck chuck sans shipping & handling.

PS, we maybe might be having THREE guest letter writers this Friday. All three have been mentioned on the blog before and are some of my favorite Homies in the world. Any guesses who they are?

Oh man! Trader Joe's is the one thing I truly miss about the U.S.A. My favorite thing of all time is their Just the Clusters Vanilla Almond cereal. YUM!

I have to admit the lamb tips are one of my favorite things you can get at TJs!

Kansas City is getting TJs, too! I'm excited for simmer sauces, frozen Mac and cheese, orange chicken, pompadom chips, fun, new beers, and just being able to walk through the store and have a look-see!

Trader Joe's is my favorite! Whenever I'm home I always stock up and pack a cooler full of goodies to bring back to school with me! But their Veggie Marsala Burgers are the BEST and their Pink Lemonade is great too (not to mention it comes in a really cute bottle)

A Severe Mercy is on my to-read list. I have only heard incredible things about it, so I can't wait to hear what you think.

You HAVE to try their ice cream sandwiches! They're the perfect chocolate chip cookies with delish vanilla ice cream rolled in tiny chocolate chips.

You'll be writing letters to them in no time. Promise.

My husband just finished reading A Severe Mercy last night.... and (don't tell him I told you) cried buckets. I'm looking forward to reading it next. It would be awesome to hear your thoughts, as a wife in a sweet, sweet marriage yourself, after you're done.
AND Trader Joe's candy cane oreos around the holidays.... definitely my fave.

The whole wheat frozen baguettes! They only have 4 ingredients and take a few minutes to reheat!

Imagine me saying "LUCKY!" in my best Napoleon Dynamite voice. There are TJ's in two cities in our little state (SC) but NOT in my city! We stock up when we travel and we love TJ's nut butters- Peanut, almond, sesame seed... all delish and cheap. Soyaki Sauce, Satay Dipping Sauce, Lemon Curd, Spanish Olive Oil, pizza sauce, Pita Chips... I could go on and on!

First of all...love that roommate commented on this post too. She could have left her name out and I would still know it's her.

My family just went on an extravaganza shopping trip to TJ's and i'm eating their yogurt pretzels right now. But, best thing i've had:

Strawberry Rhubarb Pie.

I don't even like pie! ;)

Trader Joes favs: any of their hummus (magical), frozen brown rice (sounds gross but is NOT) and their Gouda Goat Cheese (I am eating this right now). Love your blog. It makes me happy to be a human being. You guys are great.

i just wrote all these faves down because there is now a TJ in Lincoln, Nebraska, where i visit often and i can't wait to try these. YUM.

tj's top list: flowers are the best/freshest and least expensive (especially the planted herb mix). chai latte mix. ice cream is the bomb and we are total ice cream snobs (vanilla, choc or coffee). all hummus selection. great nuts and dried fruit mixes. italian sodas in beautiful bottles. all appetizers for are awesome when you have last minute guests. we're pretty much only tj's and whole food shoppers and love all that tj has to offer. so happy you get to share the love!

wow I hadn't been to TJ's in ages but went out of my way tonight! standing in line for 20 minutes (and basically shopping while online... oh the crowds of NYC!) was worth it for the CHEAP organic produce i bought! my favorite though is their dark chocolate covered peppermint mint jo-jo's at christmastime... santa maybe brought me 6 boxes this year!

enjoy! =)

Excited for you!! the list is so long... ready to eat edamame, frozen brown rice pouches, nuts and trailmixes, dried fruit, cheeses, great priced wines..... thanks for tip on that book. I love C.S.Lewis and always finding something new connected to him! --TracieT

Peanut butter filled pretzels are the BOMB! I fill my basket with those every time we're in the store... I know the hubs thinks I'm psycho about them!

so happy for you to get TJ's! I miss it! Some of our faves are their pecan cluster cereal, mangoes, trail mixes, soft black licorice, wild rice medleys, mango salsa, and the three pack super dark chocolate.

Enjoy!

That is a good book! I think I bought it (or my mom did....) because of the name C.S. Lewis on the cover. I then started reading it as a teenager and figured out that it wasn't authored by him. And it's still in my collection today, I'm happy to say. :)
Living in Canada, without any Trader Joe's...it's hard sometimes. So when I visit Washington and Oregon, I stock up. Yum, yum.
