We had a blast celebrating my brother's 40th Birthday this weekend. He's of one of the most THOUGHTFUL, KIND, and GENEROUS people I know. It was also wonderful seeing my sister Jen & her husband Matt, not to mention spending time with Twinner for TWO WHOLE DAYS!

What was the best part of your weekend?

Handing out goodies at our church's Trunk or Treat! Such awesome kids and families and we get to hang out with them! And give them play doh.

Getting my praise on in Spanish. It was just one verse, a chorus, and a bridge - but que linda!

It's still super freakin' hot in Texas, so we did what we do best... BBQ! The husband is seriously the best BBQer ever ever. And I love when he smells like BBQ. Weirdo, I know.

I got to cut hair at the salon and go home to cuddle with Husband and our 9-month old munchkin, Loralie! Much fun was had by all. Love your blogsite, Em...I read everyday!!

Well I spent the night in the ER with a concussion due to... (And this is the kicker)

Getting dropped directly on my noggin whilst doing a country western dance flip.

It looked awesome until I took my triumphant fall to the ground.

Best part of my weekend was going back to the beginning of ya'lls blog and falling in love with it. (Real talk, not even brown nosing)

Oh I also got to dress up as Pikachu for a Hollywood themed party. I think I missed the theme but definitely had the most fun

about me, i think all kids smell like trix and play doh.

neighbor, after two years of spanish in college i know how to say one thing: santa vaca. three points if you can translate.

twinner, i have photographic proof that you and sliders were meant to be. missing you already.

sweet annie, are you a honeycrisp girl or granny smith?

jody, not weird. you are speaking my love language. i grew up in kansas city and have an affection for smoke rings and chopped beef.

graves, one of my mom friends told me how wonderful it is for a new mom to get her haircut at the salon. happy for you!

marissa, sometimes tim and i do circus tricks in the living room but nothing so far that's left knocked me out. you are so brave to do all of that fancy dancing. i hear dancing helmets are HOT.

tali, it's the simple things, right?

Everyone in these pictures has such enormous smiles; they're making me smile back at the screen. This will clearly be a very good day.

Best part of my weeekend? Dressing like a teenage mutant ninja turtle with one of the bravest girls I know.
