Happy 6th Month Birthday to Today's Letters! Mr. and Mrs. Loerke, I have only had the pleasure of reading your blog for a couple of months now. But what a pleasure it is! Thank you for sharing your story each day. 208 comments later, it is clear that the tales you tell (and the way you tell them - LETTERS!) have come to mean a great deal to a great many people. Myself included.

Thank you, also, for providing us with the video of "Generator 1st Floor" (which has had me bopping around at least once a day for as long as I have been reading your blog). Thank you for reminding me what bravery really is. And maybe most of all, thank. you. for. the. Vegan. Magic. Shell. recipe!!! :O)

I would like to officially announce my candidacy for the suitcase of wonders. As a firm believer in supporting domestic breweries, I believe that my stomach would make a lovely home for the Fireman's 4 and the Boulevard Wheat. My sympathetic stance towards items of sweet nature would guarantee their participation in the binge feast that would ensue following my choosing in this race. I would represent the proud Loerke name that I have known for so long by giving equal time to movies, both forieign and domestic. In fact I promise to put to good use every item in the suitcase of wonders and thus pursue a policy of 100% employment if this discerning electorate deems me worthy of this great trust. That's why I, Joshua Nokes, now ask you not only for your vote, but your trust. I promise it will not be misplaced or abused.
