{A Letter & Giveaway} From the Twinner!

Monday, November 29, 2010

One of my favorite things about living in California includes shopping for fresh produce year-round at the local farmer's markets. I have quickly learned that seasonal eating is D-TO-THE-LISH, and soup is one of my new favorite ways to enjoy produce throughout the changing seasons!
My dear friend and chef Rebecca Stevens, is the creative genius behind Berkeley's beloved soup cookbook called, SOUPLOVE. It includes 12 vegan friendly seasonal soup recipes that are both amazing in taste and easy to create.
To celebrate the fall and winter season, I'd like to offer 2 lucky readers an autographed copy of SOUPLOVE! To enter, just leave a comment below by Thursday, December 2nd and we'll announce the winners on Friday! You can also purchase this little gem of a book HERE, as well as read a stellar review written by 101 Cookbooks HERE.
Have a SOUP-er Monday, Homies!

terrific giveaway! i'm a huge fan of soup, all year long since my office is freezing, but especially now!

Ornery's Wife said...

Ornery thinks soup is the shiz. I make pots of it and freeze it for him to take for lunches. Usually there are a couple-three types in the freezer for him to rotate through. A few ideas for new ones would not be amiss. Thank you for the chance at this, twinner! :)

I'm a bit of a bore when it comes to soup - I think I need a lesson in soup making hehe. I love chicken soup - like proper homemade chicken soup rather than tinned or powdered that you get from the supermarket.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Loerke,

You absolutely, 100%, need to award this awesome soup cookbook prize to Ms. bigsoup listed six comments above (the supergirl pic). Bigsoup is an awesome Pittsburgh couple who loves soup so much that 18 years ago they started holding a Christmas party where they make big batches of yummy soup for all their friends (my fave is the chocolate coffee soup). The only thing we need to bring is a bowl and a spoon and, if we care to, a donation to help out the local food bank. It is one of the coolest Christmas dos of the season. They post pictures and recipes and other fun stuff on their website www.bigsoup.org.

Unlike the above post, I intend to use my soup cookbook winnings purely out of selfish motives and solely for personal gain.

Merry Freakin' Christmas.

P.S.--UBER proud of you and the amazing success of your blog. Congrats to you and your hot husbandness.
