One of my favorite things about living in California includes shopping for fresh produce year-round at the local farmer's markets. I have quickly learned that seasonal eating is D-TO-THE-LISH, and soup is one of my new favorite ways to enjoy produce throughout the changing seasons!My dear friend and chef Rebecca Stevens, is the creative genius behind Berkeley's beloved soup cookbook called, SOUPLOVE. I don't think I've ever met a soup I didn't love. My sister and I have even been known to get a second cup of soup after our meals and call it "dessert soup." I would love to learn some new recipes!

I'm a bit of a bore when it comes to soup - I think I need a lesson in soup making hehe. I love chicken soup - like proper homemade chicken soup rather than tinned or powdered that you get from the supermarket.

You absolutely, 100%, need to award this awesome soup cookbook prize to Ms. bigsoup listed six comments above (the supergirl pic). Bigsoup is an awesome Pittsburgh couple who loves soup so much that 18 years ago they started holding a Christmas party where they make big batches of yummy soup for all their friends (my fave is the chocolate coffee soup). The only thing we need to bring is a bowl and a spoon and, if we care to, a donation to help out the local food bank. It is one of the coolest Christmas dos of the season. They post pictures and recipes and other fun stuff on their website www.bigsoup.org.
Unlike the above post, I intend to use my soup cookbook winnings purely out of selfish motives and solely for personal gain.
