Today's Letters: Dear Timothy James, before we met I had never owned a mandolin slicer, understood the difference between my clavicle and scapula, or made protein shakes after a workout. I love the things you teach me. Dear Homemade Apple Sauce, three fist pumps for making Casa de Loerke smell like Fall, four leg kicks for making me feel like Diane Keaton in Vermont. Dear Listening Skills, still working on you. But you are getting better. Dear Swiss Family Loerke, recently you emailed and asked if we could build THIS together. Reason #565 why I think being your wife is AWE-TO-THE-SOME.

Speaking of Diane Keaton, what's your favorite 80's movie? Mine were: The Goonies, Breakfast Club, Pretty in Pink, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, The Christmas Story, Lucas, and ET.

The 80's are littered with great flicks.

Goonies, Die Hard, and all three Indiana Jones movies currently top my list.

Erm I think the Breakfast Club but I was only born in 1986 so I missed most of them the first time round lol. My Favourite film was made in 1995 I think lol. Either that or my favourites were earlier.

I got some awesome news at work today so I've got to get my housemate and hubby to stand in the living room and do the victory dance with me. (We can do it for my housemate too as has her new car yay!)

uh, Labyrinth + Princess Bride in addition to most of the movies already listed.
PS Ben isn't kidding about the Back to the Future quoting. "GREAT SCOTT!"

Ferris Bueller. Hands down. Also pretty much my favorite movie of all time.

P.S. - The fact that Back to the Future is TWENTY-FIVE YEARS OLD makes me a wee bit nauseous.

Princess Bride for sure. How has nobody said Dirty Dancing???? Back to the Future...The GOONIES!!! And of course, my all-time fav 80s movie: The Karate Kid. But that might be my fav because I'm a blackbelt, and growing up taking karate meant I HAD to love that movie. Like a requirement. :P But seriously, Mr. Miagi is my hero.

Labyrinth. I've been drooling over David Bowie since I was a wee lass. But I will stop on a channel that is showing Baby Boom, Adventures in Babysitting, Breakfast Club, Karate Kid to name just a few.

Steel Magnolias! So many cute lines and such a sweet story.

I loveeeeeee Baby Boom. Seriously such a cute movie and she gets a hot vet! Two fist pumps for Diane Keaton being able to rock it even after having a baby and making applesauce all day long! Karate Kid was my 80s movie choice but I only partook in the 80s for a short 3 years. 1987 baby!

Just added Baby Boom to my netflix queue because of you. Now just need to think of a way to get my husband to watch it--thinking of telling him it's an action movie (baby BOOM)
