While on our way to Oklahoma we stopped in Commerce so we could say Hi to some of Husband's friends at the clinic from last month's rotation. I even got to meet Barb, the sweet lady who sent him home with homemade salsa on his last day.
We also stopped at a couple of flea markets in Paris, TX. I fell in love with these vintage crocheted ornaments ... a steal at only $1.50!
While at the cabin it rained non-stop, but we still had a blast grilling steaks, reading, playing games, taking naps, and roasting s'mores. We also had some memorable conversations as we spent time setting personal, spiritual, and relational goals for the New Year.![]() On our way out of town we passed by one of Broken Bow's historical landmarks, the End of Trail Motel. Can you say M-A-G-I-C-A-L? If only they would have let us trade them some leftover steak & Merlot for their sign. Overall, we had a wonderful time and look forward to celebrating New Year's Eve with a pizza and a movie at home. What are your plans for tomorrow night? Someone please tell me you're wearing a bedazzled do-me dress and heels so I can live vicariously through you. XOXO PS, You can find out more information about the cabin we stayed at HERE! |

looks like SUCH a great surprise!
happy birthday!
a bedazzle do-me dress and high heels? those might go well with mascara but luckily you know how to do that now.
What a cool as time away - love the crochet ornaments. Happy Birthday to your guy and Happy New Years to you both!!
We'll be cooing over the 11 day-old boy who has just changed life "quick, fast in a hurry". Hopefully some pizza & wine will work itself into the equation. And maybe a movie.
What a fun time of celebrating!
Small World. My hubby's best friend got married in Paris, TX this summer...we road-tripped there from KY. What a fun, quaint town!! We were super intrigued by their Eiffel tower with the cowboy hat! ha!
Happy bday to your hubs! And Happy New Year!!
Hubby is on call so no NYE plans for us. Maybe we'll sit around and plan our NYC trip in June :)
NYE is our son's birthday. He turns 4 tomorrow. We hate to leave him out of our New Years plans because he's so young. So we are headed to a friend's house that have kids the same age as our son. Our other son (age 1) will stay with my parents. He's so excited to spend time with his friends and us with adults and yet still be with him to celebrate this birthday and the new year.
Looks like a great trip. Happy birthday to Tim.

Fun trip! Now I'm hungry for some steak and salsa. :-)
As for tomorrow, breakfast at Cindi's with my small group. Memorial service at Northwest Bible for an old friend. Hanging out (maybe with another screening of TRON in 3D) tomorrow afternoon with some friends. And tentative plans with KB and some friends for a late dinner at Buca.
Sounds like such a fun trip. Oh the days before kids...XOXO
YEAH! You took the picture of the motel. To be honest, that place is creep town, but the sign is AWESOME!!!
Oh girl, I never leave home without my bedazzled-do me dress and high heels! And tonight Im celebrating 2011's new birthday by frolicking through a golf course cheering Horrah, Horrah! Have a blessed holiday!:)
Ah looks super fun! Sounds like my kind of trip! :)
What an awesome trip!
I'm actually spending the evening at home with my love! We're going out for Mexican for dinner, and then slugging out at home!
Perfection!
happy birthday Tim, happy New Year, happy new blog layout!! so many happies =)
fun! cabins in southern oklahoma are definitely on my list of favorites.
Happy Birthday Tim!
I sat at our NYE party yesterday and Chris asked me to come up with an idea for our friends to celebrate their 8 Month anniversary. So they are building a blanket fort and having a picnic in it. It was a joint idea and I said that I had to tell you and Em. Then when I got home around 2am I was exhausted but then had to explain to Chris about the blanket fort - why it was an awesome idea and why I had to tell you two. You might have a new reader by the end of the week.
we had a fun NYE with the shout out louds.. i just blogged about it... :D
it was epic/
My friends didn't tell me that they were dressing up so I showed up to my friends baptism in my jeans and a t-shirt only for them all to nip off to get changed into their glad rags before the NYE party :( So I looked a little under dressed in comparison to their fabness.
My friends O and A were messing around and in the middle of someone doing Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol they sat down in the middle of the dance floor next to each other and O was singing to A - it was sooooo cute!! (I thinks they are for life :D - then again they are both still in their teens so life can change)
First off, I want to thank you for sharing your adventures in Broken Bow. My wife and I love that place, so much so, that we built three cabins and one more in the works.
Check out our Top 25 Things to do in Broken Bow, which we hope helps other visitors to learn about Broken Bow and Beavers Bend.
