Husband's Letters: Dear Mrs. Loerke, sometimes you love me by washing my French press late at night so I don't have to worry about cleaning it in the morning. Thank you for thinking of the little things. Dear Christmas Shopping, even though I have 365 days to find that perfect gift I tend to wait until the last minute to make my purchases. One of these years I'm gonna complete you in October. Dear December 20th, I can't wait to meet the local readers of Today's Letters! It doesn't get much better than sipping coffee at The Pearl Cup with new friends. Dear Little (who always gets two letters), did you know that my favorite Christmas memory with you was when we bought our first tree? I am filled with joy knowing this is our 9th Christmas together!

Love,
Husband

The Mr. asks: Are you a last minute shopper or do you buy gifts months before like Em?

HAPPY FREAKIN WEEKEND!

Be sure and check back later today for our FIST PUMP FRIDAY photos!

I am definitely a last minute shopper! I only have three gifts and Christmas is a week away. Let the shopping begin!

I usually start after Thanksgiving, although I did buy one thing in August because we were in Las Vegas and I knew I wouldn't find it back at home. I'll be done with my shopping today.

Unlike my sister-in-law above, I'm down to one last gift. Can't wait to have our NY family back in AL - see ya tonight Amanda!

i get it done early! i devote a page in the back of my planner to gift ideas each year, and i keep a running list for our children and family members whenever they mention something they like or think of something that would make a good gift for them. i try to pay attention and make notes about our families' preferences, favorites, etc., so that i'm not at a loss when i need to get a gift for a loved one.

and i refuse to shop in a store if i can keep from it! i'm an online, free-shipping kind of girl. :0)

(i might also be a type-A only-child nut-job...ha!)

I am last minute and it irritates me to pieces. I have the best intentions from say, January to May... then something happens and before I know it, it's December 17th and I'm not done and I don't know what I'm gonna buy! Or make. Ugh. The pressure.

I try to be organised - My Mum used to start shopping in about September to spread the cost and things like that I try and make sure I've done it by the end of November but some bits like the handmade presents sneak in at the last minute (for example this year I'm making biscuits and they need to be reasonably fresh)

Both - there are always little things we forget. Like that our little one needs to paint three sets of animal magnets because she has three grandmas. Oops and bring on the art smock!

Some years I have forgotten that I bought presents early, put them away and have found them sometime in March! I usually like to start right after Thanksgiving but I work hard to be done a week before Christmas. The crowds (checkout lines) and traffic are toooo much after that...and who wants to get frustrated during what should be a happy time!! Plus I want to make sure I have time to bake cookies so they are fresh and plan my big meal and not be too stressed to enjoy cooking it. I wish you guys a really happy holiday two weeks off (is it?) Yay!!
