There were two girls I remember wanting to be like in high school: Joey Potter and Claire Danes. (Dawson's Creek? My So-Called Life? Anyone?). This trailer reminds me why I STILL have a girl crush on Claire Danes. Her talent is off the hook!
PS, THIS is another fantastic movie about autism. What beautiful, beautiful minds.

We just got this from Netflix. I'm looking forward to watching it over the Christmas break. I wonder if it will give me some insight into the way Patrick looks at the world... We shall see. Merry Christmas, Tim 'n Em. Love & Hugs to both of you, Ann Piper
I read a book about or by her years ago - I'd love to see this movie!
Um totally agree about MSCL. I wanted to be Claire Danes soooo badly!
My three year old daughter had Autism and that movie gave me hope, also "My so called life" was da bomb!
I have watched it twice and made my kids watch it as part of homeschool one day. Claire deserved an Oscar for this part!

OMGoodness, I have to watch this!! I have done a lot of research on the Autism Spectrum Disorders and done a few reports and powerpoint presentations on them...
By the way, for some real encouragement to some of you mothers of autistic babes, google Carly Fleischmann. She inspires me.
