| 1. Purchase: Buy some hot chocolate (or coffee) and a package of Pepperidge Farm Tim Tam's (available at Target for $2.50). 2. Prepare: Make your hot chocolate or coffee in your favorite mug, then bite off each end of your Tim Tam biscuit. 3. Pound: Using your biscuit, suck your desired beverage through it like a straw. Then wait for it ... wait for it ... as soon as it begins to melt, SLAM IT! Your belly will have never been happier. 4. Repeat steps 1-3. |

I don't think we can get them in the UK but it works with chocolate fingers :)
Ok, ok. Where is the hat from?!
Best treat in the world! In the world.
Uhhhh... Where'd you get that coffee mug, please? I must have it.
han, you can also buy them via amazon or at world market. or if you have hook up's with someone from australia :)
gracie, we buy all of our animal hats from here: http://www.berkeleyhat.com/knitanimalhats.html
jodie, agreed! esp in the winter when we no longer crave ice cream after meals, just something warm!
brian, it was a gift from twinner a couple of years ago. i know it's from the 70's, made by airstream, and is hard to find. she got it at a flea market or won it on ebay if i remember right. i'll def let you know if i come across one in dallas. it's one of our favorites!
Uuuuuum, I have never in my life seen a Tim Tam, but I must have one asap. I am going to Target tomorrow! If I have no luck then I will have to take it to Amazon, because this chick will be a slammin before Christmas!
Mmmmm! We love those! In Dubai we get the Australian brand Arnotts, but I learned the trick (narration included) from a South African!
Mmm, sounds like a yummy idea. But I think I'd prefer mine with tea (PG tips!!).
my husband taught me this last year! We thought it was a Michigan thing...guess not! He bites the top left corner and the bottom right corner to make a diagonal straw, haha.
DE-LISH!
(.....In fact, we are sitting in the middle of a winter storm...no visibility, snow, ice...all of it.... and those treats are in the freezer and I think I might get them out and eat them RIGHT NOW.)
Ooh i have two friends in Melbourne and one in Canberra - I'm sure one fo them can help me out lol.
Tim Tam Man: I have always used Fudge Stripe cookies. I bite off two sides and suck chocolate milk through it. Yummy! Thanks for the Tim Tam Slam....I can't wait to try it. Papa
wooo hoo for Australia inventing Tim Tams!
yours truly, i wanna see a photo of you slammin and throwin fist pumps!
in company, you can also buy arnott's at world market ($4 per package). a little more expensive but a true tim tam nonetheless.

I had an exchange student from Australia a few years ago and we spent most of our winter doing just that...delicious.
Thanks for bringing back a great memory!
my husband and i do this except we use girl scout thin mint cookies (also called grasshoppers according to keibler's elves). delish! they are life changing. can't wait to mix it up with tim tam's!
I haven't Tim-Tam slammed in 4 years! I first experienced all the glory that is Tim Tams in Sydney, Australia on a study abroad during college! I had no idea they were available in the states! I just stumbled upon your blog today and I am so inspired and excited to dig further into your stories and letters. Move to Hawaii and be friends with my husband and me!!
