Husband's Letters: Dear Mrs. Loerke, sometimes I like to listen to pediatric podcasts when I run, eat my french fries with a fork, and watch TV with the volume turned up loud enough for our neighbors to hear. Thank you for loving my quirkiness and my hard of hearing self. Dear First Interview, you weren't quite what I was expecting, but I'm still looking forward to the job hunt that will slowly unfold over the next four months. Dear Future Littles, I have enjoyed learning about the gift of parenting this month. Even though this is a huge responsibility I can't wait to meet you some day. Dear Emma, wanna go on a hot date tonight? The Fart Box will be ready to pick you up at 6:00. Vroom, vroom.

Love,
Husband

The Mr. asks: what have you been listening to on your iPod lately?

HAPPY FREAKIN WEEKEND!

Be sure and check back later today for our FIST PUMP FRIDAY photos! You won't wanna miss these!

Florence and The Machine, KT Tunstall, Jay-Z FT Linkin Park, Hillsongs United, Emma's Imagination, Ellie Goulding.

I have a playlist of about 50 on repeat on my phone atm the moment while I get the bus to and from work rather than driving - there are a few escaped Christmas songs too including Baby It's Cold Outside and Mele Kalikimaka (I think thats how it's spelt it's Hawaii for Merry Chrismtas)

I eat fries with a fork, too. And pizza. And cupcakes. Sticky, greasy fingers make me twitch.

I've been listening to a playlist of songs from the 40s, Michael Buble, Jason Mraz and Marie Digby trying to get our wedding playlist "just so."

@R, I am so with you. Greasy, sticky, dirty fingers make me gag. It's a wonder that I can teach preschoolers...

I am not too proud to admit that I have been listening to Avril Lavigne's new song, "What the Hell" while doing speed work on the treadmill. Happy Friday, Loerkes!

Go to: always David Gray.
Repeat: Van Morrison's Madame George.
New song I can't get enough of: Nick Cave & the Bad Seed's O' Children.

Love your letters, Mister and Mrs. Loerke.

MuteMath is always a great go-to on my iPod.

But... when the kiddo is trying to fall asleep in his car seat on a long drive: Coldplay's "Postcards from Far Away" off Prospekt's March is on constant repeat. 40 seconds of wonderfully sleepy piano music that never gets old.

Where do you get your podcast from...?

T, I have been listening to University of Arizona Department of Pediatrics podcasts found on iTunes. I did a search on Pediatrics and found some good stuff. Any recommendations?

I'm going on a date at 6 tonight with my man, too! As far as iPods go, I'm a BIG Brooke Fraser fan. And Bon Iver. And The Civil Wars. Amen.
