{Made in Dagenham Movie Trailer}

Saturday, January 15, 2011

Have any of you seen this movie? It depicts award winning Sally Hawkins as the catalyst for the 1968 strike at Ford Dagenham car plant in England where female workers walked out in protest for equal pay.

It looks fascinating ...

I saw the trailer but I didn't see it in the end. My friend saw it and wrote about it on her blog: http://rickiejosen.wordpress.com/2010/09/15/movie-made-in-dagenham/

I never have even heard of it, but after watching the trailer I want to see it. I like the chick flicks, what can I say? Is this even a chick flick? Who knows, it has a bunch of chicks in it. I am not down with all the movies. That is Amy's realm. She can quote any movie line. Probably even this one and she has not even seen it.

I saw this film a few weeks ago. It is fascinating...and to think that it is a part of our really recent history. Thoroughly recommend it!

Went to see it with my sister and loved it! A nice change of pace to look into history from a British POV versus an American when it comes to Ford :) Oh and the humor caught us totally of guard; it was hilarious! Defiantly recommend it!
