Today's Letters: Dear Mr. Loerke, last weekend you said we shouldn't get out of bed because our biscuit was surrounded by hot lava. So we slept in until 10am. I like the way you think. Dear Empty Jar of McClure's Pickles, we heard that you can use old brine to make new pickles. Here's to hoping we've figured out a way to prolong your AWESOMENESS. Dear Two Days Off From Work, you were spent sleeping in bunk beds, watching movies, playing outdoor laser tag, and going on walks with my besties. (Insert happy place here). Dear Husband, last night you surprised me with cake from Whole Paycheck as a welcome home gift. Oh, how sweet it is to be known ...

What's your favorite dessert of all time? I'll throw fist pumps and leg kicks for Eno's Sundae Sack or Cafe Brazil's Chocolate Indulgence Cake any day.

Straight-up buttercreme icing birthday cake. Or wedding cake. The kind where it's so sugar -laced that the icing has a very subtle, thin crispness on the top. Mmmmm...

Apple Crumble or Profiteroles. I love Profiteroles so much that the lady who did the catering for mine and the hubby's wedding reception made me an extra portion to take home with me. Unfortunately I was so squished into my dress that I ate like 3 of my 5 in the bowl and thought I was going to pop :(

If apple crumble is on the menu then I am a happy child lol.

Something Chocolate at Red Rock Canyon Grill in Tulsa: brownie, hot fudge, chocolate mousse, tiny walnuts, and housemade cinnamon whipped cream. I think I'll ask JT to take me there tonight!

Red velvet cupcakes from my local coffee shop. Warms my heart, especially if I get to split it over a deep conversation with a friend.

Wow, I thought my husband and I were the only ones who had hot lava surrounding their beds some days. We've celebrated "Lava Saturdays" since we first got married. It's a wonderful thing, no?

Belated congrats on your blog win--your posts make me smile and appreciate my honey every day.

Creme Brulee from this amazing seafood restaurant that is no longer in business :( - so I'll settle for creme brulee anywhere else. If it's on the menu, I have to order it!

My favorite dessert of all time is my mom's ice cream brownie cake. I love caramel, so she invented this treat just for me. A layer of brownie, then vanilla ice cream, topped with caramel frosting.
She makes it every year for my birthday. yum!
