Today's Letters: Dear Mr. Loerke PA-S III, yesterday was the last day of commuting to Cleburne for your pediatric rotation. This left us no choice but to celebrate with chocolate cake and Modern Family. Dear Cafe Brazil, thank you from the bottom of my vegetarian pasta for my free lunch yesterday. You never cease to amaze me with your generous Facebook coupons. Dear Unsigned Note Left In My Satchel, I found you after returning home from speaking at Re|Engage last night. Thank you** Dear Husband, whenever you take your contacts out you walk around looking like Bob Barker staring into the sun. One word: HOT.

What was your favorite game show growing up? I used to watch The Price is Right for hours. Bob Barker was my hero until someone explained to me what it meant to spay and neuter your pets. (Insert terrified 7 year old here).

PS, The Blog Guidebook will be posting our interview tomorrow. We'll be sure and share the link with you once it's available!

Lastly, check back later today to find out more about our exciting news! It may or may not involve blood, sweat, and tears.

I would watch Countdown with my Grandma, then when my cousin was born and then when she could do it (she's 8 years my junior) she would play with us! She's soooo clever. We used to watch Ready Steady Cook and try and come up with something we knew neither of us could cook but it sounded yummy.

I recently found a love for Jeopardy but I watch clips via YouTube

I always liked Jeopardy. My mom would watch it, and it always meant I had to be quiet for that half hour, which was REALLY hard, but it also meant I could snuggle with her on the couch while she watched it. The first time I answered a question, she was so surprised, but she must have been pretty proud because we went out to get ice cream after.

She also got me hooked on old game shows that aired on the Game Show network. I still love What's My Line and Match Word. :)

I too watched the Price is Right, not as much by choice, rather my Grandmother's love of Bob Barker. I am pretty sure it was followed by All My Children because even hearing that theme music gives me flashbacks of sitting in her kitchen with an aching neck from trying to view the small TV on top of the big white food holder thingy. I think I would have preferred Nickelodean and The Temple of Doom, but now I'd watch Price is Right with my Grams any day!

OK. Love you and your blog, but what in the world does your love for Bob Barker have to do with spaying and neutering pets????

melodramaticfool, bob was famous for two things: 1) coining the phrase, "COME ON DOWN!" and 2) asking his viewers to spay and neutered their pets! an interesting passion to have, but he believed in it with his whole heart! http://www.thepetpress-la.com/articles/bobbarker.htm

When you say check back later for exciting news, do you realize I have to come back every 30 minutes or so because I am SO excited about what I think it is that I can't stand the suspense!?

COME ON DOWN, was a phrase I heard everyday with my grandma. My favorite are the people who scream and cry and go gaga over Bob. You gotta love The Price is Right!

Can't wait to listen to the Re-engage talk and to see the exciting news!

Thanks for clearing that up! We were a big Jeopardy family. It was always on right before the news. So I am much more familiar with the nuances of Alex Trebek than Bob Barker. Although, I must say his cameo in Happy Gilmore cemented him in my mind as a Really Cool Old Dude.

dear emily loerke, thatch and i have decided to take a sexy but non suggestive fist pumping leg kicking gulf of mexico glamour shot. due to this, i was told to shave my legs (something i haven't done all winter). just wanted you to know you are the reason my legs will no longer look like they belong to robin williams, and that locks of love may be getting a anonymous donation. over and out.

Supermarket sweep! My brother and I would watch it every day, then choose teams. I still think I'd when if I'd ever been on the show! ;-)

I actually TiVo Jeopardy, since I'm not always home when it comes on. I do have a soft spot for Price is Right, but Jeopardy is my favorite.

Wheel of Fortune & Jeopardy were my faves but The Price Is Right is what I dreamed of one day being on. It was my life long goal until I had a terrible nightmare about finally being on the show that left me depressed & disappointed (apparently the show is really filmed in a scary old baptist church with orange carpet & the audience is actually fake plastic manikins).
