Today's Letters: Dear Mr. Loerke, last night you told me I had good looking lateral malleoulous'. You crushing on me or something? Dear Jessica Patrich, send me a smoke signal if you'd like to claim your rockin baby booties from last week's giveaway. If not, I know of several hundred Homies that would like another chance at being a winner, winner, chicken dinner. Dear Nerds Jelly Beans, yesterday I went to the store and bought 5 bags of you. FIVE BAGS. I've officially become powerless over my addiction. Dear Husband (who always gets two letters), Mexico in t-minus 33 days, 8 hours, and 23 minutes. What what.

Where's your favorite place you've ever visited? Africa? New Zealand? Your grandpa Jack's cabin in Colorado? Perhaps Mexico will be at the top of our list!

PS, several of you have emailed asking for our Australian Chai Recipe. I wish we could post it but it's a top secret recipe from a cafe our friend works at in Queensland. Reason #949 why we should all visit the Land Down Under. (Que Men at Work).

I'm sure that being a military family, we will travel and my list will change, but as of this moment Big Bend state park in west Texas is my favorite place. Sometimes I will close my eyes and imagine I'm horseback riding through the mountains there.

I too loved Mexico (Tulum especially!) but my favorite place on this planet is my in-laws' cottage in a podunk town in northern Michigan. Swimming, fishing, kayaking, reading and napping. It is heaven on earth!

Beth and I looked everywhere for that recipe because the only coffee type drink Beth will have is Chai. Maybe we will have to go to Australia one day to get the recipe.

For nearby places, can't beat Beavers Bend State Park in SE Oklahoma-gorgeous! In faraway places, it's a toss-up between Hawaii (for obvious reasons) and Austria. I'm too indecisive to choose warm beach-y over cool mountain-y...I love both! But I found the people in both places to be kind and the scenery in both to be beautiful, and the food in both places to be delicious! (Doesn't hurt that I found great coffee in both places either.)

Honduras is probably the most memorable place I visited. The poverty stricken public made me feel like doing something actually important with my life and certainly put Missionary work on my mind. I also got to dive there, and it was the most beautiful and clear waters I have ever been in. I have never felt closer to God in my life than I did down there. So between those and the beautiful landscape, Honduras definitely takes the win for me.

Close home, Ponca Arkansas is pretty much gorgeous. Far away, Giants Causeway in Northern Ireland, or Normandy Beach, France.

I went on a mission trip last year to Valladolid and we snuck off one day to swim in a senote, which is an underground lake, which is amazing. You should find one while you are there. The one we went to was really close to the Mayan ruins. Have fun!

Turkey or Spain was the best so far but plan to have lots more adventures - including tomorrow - we have a road trip to Stockport near Manchester to help my friend move house - it's going to be so much fun and slightly crazy!

My brother loves Nerds - then again so do I lol. Might have to ask him to get me some next time he goes to the store - he knows all the best place to buy sweeties lol.

It's my birthday today woop woop!

I live in NZ and love it! So wish we could get some of those Nerd jelly beans here - but alas, will probably have to wait about 10 years or so until they are a new release here!

I only just travelled for the first time in my life last year - to Israel! Loved it - but felt very far away from home.

I wish I could say Africa is my favorite place, I want to visit so bad. It's really hard for me to pick just one place out of the places I've traveled, they are each special for their own reason. At the top of the list would be Halifax, Cayman Island, Ireland, New England, and Austria.

Mine just might be Alaska. We did a three day kayak trip and camped at the base of a glacier in Prince William Sound. It was wonderful.
