Today's Letters: Dear Mr. Loerke, recently you taught me that if we time our morning run just right we can finish by running through our neighbor's sprinklers. AWESOME. Dear Tim Tams, last night I ate 4 of you. All by myself. And it was delightful. Dear Body, once there will come a day when I won't be able to exercise anymore. Thanks for being a constant reminder to run, play, and do cannonballs in the biscuit while I still can. Dear Beloved, yesterday you came home bearing gifts. And it wasn't even my birthday. To the moon!

What is your favorite thing about 4th of July? And don't forget, this Friday is the last day to make a race donation to get your name / company logo on our kayak!

Running through the sprinklers!? Now, that's awesome!

I love the fireworks! The loud booms and colors lighting up the sky is just magical!

Every year a group of about 30 of my friends spend an afternoon tubing down the river. We tie our tubes together into little pods and float down the river for about 4 hours. SO MUCH FUN. Then after that we head to a friend's house for a BBQ, fireworks, and a 40 foot adult slip-n-slide. We might be getting older, but we'll never grow up!

I love that you two are just big kids. You're an inspiration to always stay young and active!

The fourth of July is my birthday, so it's always been a fun day for our family. Up until I was about six, I thought the fireworks were special just for my birthday. It is pretty magical to sit in a field with loved ones and watch the fireworks explode.

My husband used to love shooting off fireworks, until last year, a firework called the "Bump and Grind" went crazy and shot into 3 of our 5 neighbors' yards, setting one giant bush completely ablaze. That ruined fireworks for him, and I am not sure what we will do for fun this year.

So cliche, but I love fireworks. They are so romantic to me, and even though I live in the city now, they always remind me of watching fireworks in a field in north Texas when I was young.

This holiday holds so many happy memories for me, I just love it all.

I love seeing red, white and blue bunting decorating big wrap-around porches. And the sound of our American flag whipping in the breeze. I can hear it from inside in certain parts of our house.

i LOVE nothing bundt cakes! It's entirely too close to my apartment, so I tend to partake far more often than i should. They used to make a lemon/raspberry one that absolutely rocked my world.

Thank you too for being so lovely. <3
