Today's Letters: Dear Mr. Loerke, last night you washed the dishes in exchange for one of my Magnum Bars. The things men will do for food ... Dear Gandhi, you once said, "Satisfaction does not come with achievement, but with effort. Full effort is full victory." Thank you for reminding me of this truth as I reflect on the KAW100. Dear Thanksgiving Feast, you are only 121 days away. That's all. Dear Husband, while driving home from Kansas City you helped rescue a 2 yr old girl out of a car that had flipped upside down in the median. Your bravery, selflessness, and courage constantly amazes me. Over and out.

What is one of your favorite quotes?

holy gazoly, your husband is saving lives. what a superhero.

and my favorite quote is a poem by david whyte called "sweet darkness":

"you must learn one thing,
the world was made to be free in.

give up all the other worlds
except the one to which you belong.
sometimes it takes darkness
and the sweet confinement of your
aloneness to learn

anything or anyone
that does not bring you alive

is too small for you."

sorry it's kinda long, but it's so beautiful.

I have this one taped to my monitor:

You are worthy of love.
You don't have to DO anything.
You have a beautiful heart,
you have a beautiful soul,
you have a beautiful body.
Everything about is you is BEAUTIFUL.
You can't f*** it up.

I found it blog surfing one day, so I don't have proper attribution.
