Today's Letters: Dear Mr. Loerke, sometimes when you get out of bed in the morning you shout, "I did it!" Thanks for reminding me that even some of the smallest accomplishments are worth celebrating. Dear Weekend, this Friday will be my first day off since March that I don't have "paddling" written down on my calendar. (Insert major kayaking withdrawal here). Dear Coava Coffee, whenever Husband gets to the bottom of your bag he lets out a little whimper. True story. Dear Husband, love you more than sleeping in, achy shoulders after paddling at the lake, and morning coffee in the French press. Over and out.

What are your favorite beans? Tim could drink his weight in Sightglass, Coava, and Verve Coffee.

We are pretty partial to Kona coffee - while in Hawaii a few years ago we visited Greenwell Farms and we've been ordering our beans from there ever since.

"Dear Mr. Loerke, sometimes when you get out of bed in the morning you shout, "I did it!" Thanks for reminding me that even some of the smallest accomplishments are worth celebrating." Just LOVE this! Thanks for making me laugh, I'll have to try that tomorrow morning (God willing) ;)
And..no preference I guess on beans!
Love you guys, you are so inspiring for me and my 18 year marraige! Tiffany

I'll drink almost anything in a french press.

For holidays and birthdays, we "treat" ourselves to

I agree with Meg, stumptown is super amazing but my everyday favorite is Lighthouse Roasters coffee. http://www.lighthouseroasters.com/about.cfm
They're based in Seattle. Seriously so good. (Especially with a french press!)

Since I don't really do coffee, I would have to say "BBQ/Baked".

This is my first time commenting on any blog but can I just say that I think we would be great friends if we ever met! (in a non-creepy way that is :-)

My husband Daniel and I (married for 5 years this August) live in Portland, OR and are slaves to Stumptown coffee....I actually haven't ever tried Coava but dare I say I will be venturing down to SE Grand soon to try it out.

Thank you for introducing me to Josh Garrels, love him! And your love for Magnums makes me so happy. Daniel and I traveled to Turkey this last year and stumbled upon Magnums, loved them so much that we had them daily. I can't tell you how excited I was when I saw an advertisement here in the States.

Anyhoo, just wanted to finally write and comment that I feel you are a kindred spirit. Thanks to you we do Tuesday questions every week and have made it even a bigger point to pray together every night.

May God continue to bless you and your husband!

elisif, so glad you decided to comment! friendship request accepted ;) we, too, love stumptown but coava will always be #1 in our bellies. you'll love matt and keith the owners. super down to earth and their shop is AMAZING. encouraged to hear you're asking our tues questions ... we mostly ask them on sunday's now, but still call them tues questions since we asked them on that day for years. they help center our marriage like nothing else! re: josh garrels & magnums ... love them both (almost as much as camping in alaska ;)
xoxo,

Hah! My husband also whimpers every time we get to the bottom of a bag of Flatblack Coffee beans. They're a locally owned (we live in Boston) direct trade company. We've been all over and consider ourselves pretty lucky to have our fave coffee right down the street from us -- seeing as we live in the ghetto and all ;)

I went on a date to The Roasterie once, which is a KC local company and was surprised at the dynamic flavor. I drank some blend with a really long and crazy name, but it was well worth the tongue twisting order. I generally like anything from there.
