Tuesday night we ran at 6pm. It was 105°. We lasted 2 miles. Then we walked home. It was perfect. We are two flawed and broken people, but we are each other's greatest encouragers. I still can't believe I get to kiss this man everyday. (Like, for real).

Btw, I forgot to mention that we moved all of our MR340 & KAW100 Race Posts to our "Adventures" tab located on our left sidebar. (Just in case you wanted to see cute photos of Branch).

Also, I'd love to know what you're looking forward to this weekend. Rest? Reunions with friends? Baking my Papa's Applesauce Spice Cake? We love getting to know you guys!

Happy (almost) Fist Pump Friday. WARNING: Tomorrow's photos are spectacular.
Xoxo!

Going to a craft show at Wrest Park with my Mumma. Wrest Park looks like it fell out of an Austen novel - or that kind of thing. I love it :) And I get my Mumma to myself for like a whole day!! Woot woot!

Bowling with friends, dinner with my boyfriend’s parents, and watching Simon Birch for the first time. Oh, and hopefully using my groupon to a Mediterranean place. Mmm, craving some hummus right now!

This is my last free weekend before I start grad school again, so I HAVE to clean my apartment and prep all my meals for the next week. But I'll also work out, go to church, and make a dessert for our congregation's hoedown. Should be a fun and productive weekend!

If the insurance check gets here, I will be shopping with my daughter..replacing the stuff we lost when our home was burgled. It will most certainly include sharing metro travel, good food, and much laughter...there may even be a renegade stop in at Six Flags to give our season passes a workout.

taking inspiration from you and getting my organizational act together! I CAN do it!

Loerkes! I did the Warrior Dash last weekend and just wrote a blog post about it :) You would have been so proud of me. Thank you for inspiring me to pursue my own adventures. Cannot wait until next year. If you ever wanna dash in the Rockies, let me know!

This weekend I hope to:
- snuggle with my kiddo, who just started second grade last week. such a big kid. oof.
- clean my house because now not only is the laundry winning but the dishes and dusting.
- write some blog posts! i have blog posts stuck in my head that need to get out.
- i would like to eat something cooked on the grill. why yes i would. and sit on the patio enjoying Colorado sunsets.

Dinner at the longest running restaurant in the U.S. The Union Oyster House in Boston with my fabulous hubs to celebrate his bday and seeing The Help with my sisters. Also surviving through the hurricane that is suppose to sweep through Sunday!

This weekend? Well, it will probably be a wet one since we're on the edge of Hurricane Irene's path here in N. VA. Guess we'll be battening down the hatches and watching some movies as a family. Sounds pretty good.

Running in that heat seems unthinkable! Maybe yall can help me understand why in the world people live in places where it stays so goshdarn hot?? We're in Va where it aint exactly chilly, but it's nothing like texas!

Mel said...

Man you guys are cute.

This weekend we're bracing ourselves for the hurricane with some serious movie-watching, reading, and packing!

We also just acquired a wafflemaker, so that will obviously have to be on the docket!

I'm looking forward to celebrating my sister's and my uncle's birthday this weekend who were born on the same day but with 32 years in between. It's going to be a big family reunion :)

im looking forward to running 18 miles for my marathon training this saturday - my longest run yet! but it may turn into a swim if we get hit with the hurricane!

have a lovely evening!

Wow...no wedding to visit, no novel to write...just a loooong, lonely drive from carinthia/austria to mid germany. Still hoping to find somebody who joins me. We have a webside called something like "driving with other people" where you can offer rides and take rides with otheres to split gas. Some would say stranges. I'd say other nice people. Mostly collage students and people between 20-35. On the way here I took a nice italian girl who works in germany and a guy from east germany who used to be a nude model at an italian art university. (not the worst job to do when you don't speak the language) - so I am hoping that somebody will join me and share some 'life stories'....

PS. People from others countries use this "ride-webpage" over here too, but always tell me they would not do it in any other country. So I hope you don't think I am crazy now - but I'd say it's pretty save and I only met very nice people.
