Husband's Letters: Dear Mrs. Loerke, last week you went out of your way to find me on my run while driving to work. When you rolled down your window and yelled, "Go Timo! You can do it!" my legs became that of a Kenyan marathon man. Thank you for encouraging me! Dear Yes-Man Inside of Me, I am learning you are not always the best thing. There are times when I bite of more than I can chew. This year I want to learn how to be a slower-processor, a wisdom go-getter, and a peace-abider. Dear Surgical Privileges, after waiting 2 months to receive my permanent license I can finally operate. It's so good to be back in the saddle again. Dear Emma "Genevive" Loerke, last weekend you disassembled our gear closet and built it back like a brand new invention. I knew it was going to be a work of art when I heard you banging on the hammer. It looks splendid.

Love,
Mr. Loerke

What area of your house would you like to clean / organize if you had an extra day to do it?

Our front room/formal living room. It still has unpacked boxes from when we moved circa april 2010...that's right. Can I borrow Em?

Last Wednesday we did our living room...and now our bedroom is next on the list. Making room for a little one in October has meant emptying our home in order to fill our hearts.

I dream of organizing our basement. And then just going down there and doing a "the hills are alive" twirl every so often.

My kitchen cupboards. I have a cute adorable house but tiny at about 600 sq feet. I'd like to have a better way of storing all the food I've preserved/canned.

Our basement, for sure. It's a mess and catches everything that we find "unpresentable" haha.

I just reorganized a few kitchen cupboards that desperately needed it. Next I'd like to tackle my bathroom. With only 300 sq. ft. to my name, it's important I keep it under control!

My whole summer has consisted of cleaning and organizing (we just moved across country and I am a teacher so I have all the time in the world, until the end of August). What I need is MORE closet space (or less stuff)

The pantry and the cupboard with all the tupperware. Scary times trying to put leftovers away!

This is the year of organization at my house. One closet, one room at a time.

big sigh...our bedroom. it's always the last to get cleaned, and it's the first place i 'stash-and-dash' to tidy up for company. so sad...it's supposed to be a haven for me and husby, but it's the storage unit these days.

My husband and I just put a light in our closet and it was illuminating. We had bags and bags of clothes we never wore to give away. We high fived each other and now ask, "How was your closet experience this morning?" Pure bliss.
