While in Kansas City we ...

Woke up to this view.

Drank Caribou Coffee.

Ate cinnamon rolls from McLain's for brekky.

Visited St. Mary of the Pickle.

Saw the new tree sculpture at the Nelson.

Had wings at The Peanut.

Toured the Boulevard Brewery.

Saw beer stored in whisky barrels.

Split a full slab of ribs from Oklahoma Joe's.

Found little eggplants at the Farmer's Market.

Was inspired at the Plaza Art Fair.

Saw signs of Fall.

Bought paperwhite bulbs from Planters.

Made homemade tamales.

And smiled at the boys who sat on the front porch wearing their matching shirts. What a wonderful time in Kansas City! Can't wait to do it again next year.

Happy freakin Monday! How was your weekend? Did you see anything beautiful? Try something new? Eat something that made you thankful? See anything that inspired you? I'd love to hear about it!
xoxo

That Boulevard shirt is the PERFECT gift idea for our Scottish friend we toured the brewery with a few years back. Yay! So glad you had a great weekend in KC!

I visited an awesome family whom I hadn't seen in a while, yet used to spend half my week with. And I'm going back again tonight. :)

My good friend's Daddio is the Joe of Oklahoma Joe's! He's got a mean BBQ talent! I went to Edmond Sante Fe's HoCo, witnessed OSU's epic win via TV, and ate pumpkin pancakes. Mmmmm!

My Grandparents had a party to celebrate their 50th Wedding Anniversary :D They had a barbershop quartet sing called Time After Time - they sang Bring Him Home from Les Mis and me and my Mum were sat at the back singing along lol.

They also sang my grandparents song and they (my grandparents) stood in the middle of the room and my Grandad was singing to Grandma. They are so spesh! Love them!

Got to see my cousins as well which was good. Me, My cousin and my aunt plotted about going to see the next Twilight film together in November

KC is great and it seems like you had a really awesome weekend there. I did something new: I moved into my new apartment! And I saw something beautiful: Lake Constance! It will be my new everyday view for the next 3 years. Have a great week :-)

I saw Wicked at the Fox Theater in Atlanta! The show was amazing, obviously, but so was the Fox! It has a ceiling that's made to look like the night sky and has little lights in it that act as stars. So cool.

Went to LA with the hubby and animal to visit my sis. Saw ET at Hollywood forever cemetery which was amazing. We ate reese's pieces and cheered with everyone else when the bike flew in front of the moon. :)

Ate at all our favorite restaurants and saw Conan o'brien crossing the street...typical LA weekend. Just got home and am super excited to sleep in our own bed tonight! :)

How did you like Caribou? Ours is in an old depot building here in Red Wing. Our favorite place to hang out with a cuppa!

We were truly thankful for our first cider mill donuts of the season--they are heavenly!
And we found out our daughter is afraid of pumpkins. What? In her defense, she's only 16 months old, but still!
