Husband's Letters: Dear Mrs. Loerke, this weekend we navigated our first corn maze at the Canton Pumpkin Patch. Thankfully our experience looked nothing like this. Dear Pre-Marrieds Class, tonight Em and I have the opportunity to speak about what it looks like to intentionally pursue your spouse. Looking forward to sharing with all 200 of you! Dear Boss, yesterday you asked me to saw the femur while doing a knee replacement. This made me feel like a trusted assistant. Thank you! Dear Emma, this Sunday I had to work in two emergency surgeries that lasted 8 hours. Throughout the day you sent me encouraging texts, completed part of my chores, and greeted me with a huge hug and a kiss when I cam home. Reason #969 why girl roommates are AWESOME.

Love,
Mr. Loerke

Have you ever done a corn maze before?

We did a Corn Maze in New Hope Pennsylvania...It was A-MAZE-ing!!! We got lost and had to use the look out tower a couple of times...it was freezing cold up there, but we had sooooo much fun!!!

Dear Loerke Clan,
This weekend my family and I navigated our first cornmaze too! Thankfully, we made it out in one piece. Though at one point the mister and myself decided to stray from the parents and "beat" them out... Yeah, not so much. They were waiting for us at the exit. :)

Love corn mazes - but totally get the fear. Really wish we could attend yall's talk on "what it looks like to intentionally pursue your spouse." Maybe you guys could blog on that? (yes, I have read the 10 question things, a lot! :) love them!) I see you mention chores..do you guys have a "set" division of chores?

heather, we do have certain chores that we are individually responsible for. i do all vacuuming & clean the kitchen, tim does dusting & the bathrooms. we decided these based on preference.

as far as cooking / dishes go our rule has been whoever cooks doesn't do the dishes. they just help dry :)

eww you sawed a bone?! i know that happens all the time, but that just gives me the eebie jeebies thinking about it.

i'd love a few tips on how to intentionally pursue your spouse too. Though I'm not married, i'm expecting a proposal pretty soon (!) and that'd be a wonderful thing to hear. hope your talk went well.

and yes! corn mazes. love em.
