Today's Letters: Dear Mr. Loerke, while you were gone I repainted our bedroom, bathroom, and sold our media cabinet. Three gold stars for being the most patient man I know. Dear Fried Bubble Gum, supposedly you are this year's "must try" food item at the Texas State Fair. I think I'd rather waste my $6 at the Midway trying to win a gigantic basketball with dollar signs on it. Dear She & Him, 22 more days until your first Christmas album is released. Team Loerke promises to listen to it while rocking hot chocolate mustaches and mittens. Dear Husband, to the man who always unpacks his shiz as soon as he gets home from vacation: you bless me.

Happy freaking Monday, Homies! When do you start listening to Christmas music?

Not yet lol. Then again my ipod was on shuffle and started playing Little Drummer Boy/Peace on Earth on Friday I think. And one of the radio stations here has a challenge who plays the first Christmas song and a presenter called Greg James won that back in June I think.

I popped home at lunch time and CJ had been doing washing given the freakishly warm weather we've had this last week ish - full heart here!

We don't have a specific time...but our faves are the John Denver and Muppets Christmas and my vintage Bing Crosby Chrsitmas album gifted by the Mister last year!!!

Not until after December first. I just can't do it before then.

It's so interesting to hear everyone's different takes on timing.

Whenever it starts to turn cold! Which is now...although, yesterday I had a craving for a Christmas movie, rather than Christmas music.
Also YESSSSS to She & Him's album. SO pumped.

Oh!Oh! I am sure this year I will start listening to Christmas music right after I have this She&Him Christmas album in my hands :-) Usually I start after my birthday which is mid Nov. Have a good day! Eva

eek! She & Him Christmas... yes please. That I will start listening to as it is released, in moderation. Otherwise I'm a day after Thanksgiving girl.

Left to my own choice, it would be December 1st....always and only then. But...sometimes things can't be avoided. This year, my son had "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree" played at his wedding...in May!

I've been working on my 2011 line of Christmas ornaments for about a month now, which is also how long I've been listening to Christmas music. The weather was so warm outside, I needed something to get me in the Christmas mood!

Oh... absolutely no Christmas until after Thanksgiving. But the day after -- it. is. on.

Fried Bubble Gum? That actually sounds disgusting in my book. But then again I eat some weird Asian stuff that other people cringe at.

And technically I already am listening to Christmas music because I have started watching Christmas movies. I know, you "can't" until after Thanksgiving...but I sneaked a few in this month.

Oh man, I have been dying to listen to Christmas music!!! BUT, the rule in our house is, "Not until the day after Thanksgiving."

We aren't allowed to sing or listen to Christmas music before Thanksgiving. On Thanksgiving we listen to it constantly and continue to do so through December.

As soon as November rolls around; no need to wait for the fourth Thursday of the month to pass by. I just found out about She and Him's Christmas album yesterday, and I am hoping it's as awesome as I am hoping it is. You know?

Can't wait...love me some Zooey. Nothing tops DMB "Christmas song", besides nsync's entire Christmas album :)

I have a friend that starts on Oct. 1. I start with Charlie Brown Christmas in the classroom every.single.morning starting Nov. 1. And then, the day after Thanksgiving, I'm all about the jingle bells and ho ho ho and all that jazz.

And my first red cup from Starbucks is always christened with Christmas music.

November 1st. Or earlier, if I stumble upon a Christmas station!

About two months ago when we had to play the "new" estate sale vinyl of O Holy Night on our old 1930s phonograph. Goosebumps and a tear might have formed on arms and two faces.

She & Him Christmas album??? Sweet sauce!
