Husband's Letters: Dear Mrs. Loerke, this weekend you played punt, pass, kick with me in the dry creek bed by our treehouse. This made me feel so proud to call you my wife! Dear Gruene, TX, six and a half  years ago Em and I visited you on our Honeymoon. After driving through you on Saturday we're convinced this is where we should celebrate anniversary numero 7. Dear Treehouse Adventure, everything about you was perfect, even sleeping on a twin pull-out bed with Emma in the living room. Dear Emma, each year we give each other a Christmas ornament symbolic of the year's experiences. Yesterday yours came in the mail. I can't wait to start decorating our tree with you!

Over and out,
Tim

Could you ever live in a small town like Gruene, TX?

Christmas ornaments symbolic of the year's experiences? What a great idea! I may have to adopt this!

Happy Tuesday, Loerkes!

I was in the Lake District last week and it was amazing - I think it would be too quiet but it was so perfect for a week to get away from life and just chill.

Me and Mr J spent lots of time together and had a fab "catch up"

I love that Tree House!

As far as living in a small town, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else!

I want to stay in a treehouse!!

And small towns... totally depends on where they are and what they're like. My husband is from a small town that neither of us is a fan of, but if we're talking Stars Hollow from the Gilmore Girls... of course! ;)

Dear Timothy James,

I would like to thank you for allowing me to steal your wife last night for several hours. You never know how much you really need an old friends presence until you see them for the first time in a year and your face immediately lights up. Thank you for giving Emmy and I that cherished time last night. P.S. this treehouse place is a must visit. I have now added that to my list of places to see. Thanks for posting Tim.

The Symbollic ornament for the year, gets harder to find, but still fun after 24 yrs together. Tis fun to decorate the tree and talk about what some of them meant to us at the time.. What a hoot...
the town i grew up in was about 1980 peeps when i left. now when i go home the sign says 3800 peeps... Good Day !!
Still love the small town...

I could NOT live in a small town. I got bored living in Indianapolis (it felt small town compared to the Boston area)! I need a big city nearby.

small town YES! but would need to be able to take my church with me. Seriously tho, my Big Sis lives in New Braunfels and I feel like I get about ten years of life back every time I visit that area.

The treehouse is incredible! did they by any chance have a rope swing hangin around?

Yes, yes, yes! Love me a small town. Especially a small Texas town. Spent a big chunk of my childhood in Katy. Have a great rest of the week, Loerkes!

Yes! Back when I lived in NY I traveled in between Shokan and Woodstock. Before moving to KS I thought that it was normal to drive an hour to get to a super market!

That treehouse is amazing! I don't think I could live in a small town but I do love visiting tiny communities - such a retreat from everyday life.
