Husband's Letters: Dear Mrs. Loerke, this weekend we had lunch at Wild About Harry's. I love it that you'll eat a hot dog with me even when we're not at the ballpark or camping. Dear New Puter, even though you are a hand-me-down from Emma, you are a million times better than the old PC I used during PA school. So glad to officially be a Mac-man! Dear Indirect Heat Grilling, you are now my secret to consistent, mouth-watering meat that doesn't taste burnt. Just call me Timmy Flay! Dear Emma, I know Christmas is not about gifts, but I can't wait for you to open your present. It will be a miracle if I don't tell you what it is before Christmas!

Over and out,
Tim

Is it hard for anyone else to keep your gifts a secret? Em has tight lips like a Russian Spy. I almost always spill the beans.

I love keeping it a secret! I like to wait as long as possible...it's all about the anticipation when opening a gift! I have Hubs's gifts hiding in our tiny apartment right now!

I cannot keep a gift secret to save my life. I buy it, then immediately call that person so excited about what I got and spill the beans. Except for with Emo this year, since i drew her name again. :)

I can keep my lips sealed, but just barely! I love giving gifts and I get so excited for people to open their presents. It's especially hard when someone says they're going to go out and look at the gift I already got them at the store - that's when I really want to say something. But I love the element of surprise more :)

Since I married my husband 4 years ago, I have yet to keep one gift a secret until the actual birthday or Christmas day. I get too excited!

I'm am NOT a last minute shopper at all. It's not hard to keep the secret it's hard to not actually give the person their gift in, say, October. I'm usually too excited to wait. It's torture.

You're not alone! My hubs has tight lips too, but I just get so excited for his reaction that I can't wait... and he just sits backs and chuckles with his twinkly eyes!

Oh my its so hard for us. We do not have kids and are both suffering from "instant gratification" - even when giving to others. We go shopping together, he stays on upper level of mall and I am on lower. We then swap. When we get to the car, we both cant stop smiling and at least one of us has to fight off the other from just handing over the bags. Daily he asks to give me my gifts...Its such a joy seeing those we love open gifts!

I have tight lips! My boyfriend on the other hand tries every way possible, to pry it out of me! He never wins! :)

It's hard for me as well. Half the time I just give up and give the gift early!

Tim, it's the same way at our house! I can always keep presents a secret and my dear hubs has the worst time keeping presents a secret! He doesn't always tell...he just hints a lot. I think that makes him feel like he's not telling me but he still gets to let the secret out. :)

Its so hard for me to keep it a secret!! Especially when I know that its something that will knock their socks off! I got my husband a GPS watch (he's a runner) for his birthday and I absolutely can't wait for him to open it!

I try to keep gifts a secret and for the most part, I can keep my lips sealed. My husband on the other hand is weak. If we start talking about gifts he has to leave the room because he know he will tell me. It's a fun game we play, I guess, he smiles, BAM I know what my gift will be! Good luck keeping your gifts secret.
