Today's Letters: Dear Mr. Loerke, just when I thought this grocery list couldn't be topped, I find this on our kitchen counter. Well played. Dear John C. Campbell Folk School, your classes on woodworking, gardening, and music make me dream of building my own bamboo fly rod and clawhammer banjo. If only North Carolina wasn't so far away! Dear Broken Loveseat, you were faithful for 7 years, but as Pap-reeka Shaniqua would say, it was time to kick you to the curb. So grateful for our new couch and that we can now take naps without being wadded up like a ball. Dear Timothy James, sometimes you watch shows about SA80 assault rifles. You also like to read me children stories before bed. You are indeed, a Tender Warrior.

If you could buy anything at the grocery store this weekend what would it be? (Price not an issue). Clearly, we are out of Paprika.

About half of the Whole Paycheck store. That store is my happy place and I always wish I had more money there. I am vegetarian and love the selection of products for me.

FYI, first thing every morning at work...turn on pc, sip coffee and hit the "T" on my keyboard in my browser and up comes Em and Tim's page. You guys are part of my morning. Thanks for sharing life with us!

Who knows what I'll buy at the store this weekend, but I am thinking about making a big pot o' pazole for my dear Mr. to enjoy during the football games. What I am excited about is the fact I am a soon-so-be Dallas area resident and I am so excited to live in the vicinity of Central Market. It is a rockin' store. Their Australian Boxing (Day?) Cheddar is my new all-time favorite cheese. And I love their flowers department. And I am a sucker for their smoked salts. Hopefully I will be there by Hatch chili season!!!

Vanilla beans! (My husband writes funny things on our lists as well...The Beatles' White Album shows up fairly regularly)

Last weekend, my husband wanted pop tarts, so he wrote "poop farts" on the list. I didn't notice the "farts" part until I was at the grocery store, and I started laughing in the middle of the aisle. Who says grocery lists can't be fun/memorable?

I'd stock up on meats that are usually prohibitively too expensive, like bison. I love my usuals, but I want to try some new things!

PS - I'm coming to Dallas next month for work. Can't wait!

Hiya! I did my homework but couldn't find the answer I was looking for. Can you share the details of your couch? I've caught a couple of glimpses of it on instagram and I'd love to know what you think of it!

Thanks!!

@kate, not sure which couch you're referring to since this comment is on such an old post. but if it's the tan one we got it at world market 9 years ago when we were living in dallas. if it's our brown leather couch we got it at ashley furniture in louisville. we loved it!
