Today's Letters: Dear Mr. Loerke, this weekend we slept in, watched a movie, ate a free cheese wheel from Papa Johns, test drove a Prius, read more chapters in this book, went on a run, asked for each other's forgiveness four times, and listened to this on repeat. A great weekend. Dear Oysters, why have I treated you like liverwurst and that weird, gelatinous pate served at dinner parties? You are DELICIOUS! Dear Donald Miller, your book Blue Like Jazz changed my life in college. Here's to seeing your movie on April 13th and to keeping my fingers crossed for an appearance of the sexy carrot. Dear Husband, right now you're working 3 jobs in order to make up for our time away in Uganda. Your ambition and discipline challenges me! Grateful for all you do for our family ...

Happy freaking, Monday Homies! Did you have a good weekend? I hope so! I recently started eating Oysters (thanks to the #15 at Velvet Taco). What's the bravest thing you've ever eaten? And don't forget to check and see if you're one of our winners from last week's giveaway!

I had calamari which is probably not that crazy but for me who is the most boring person when it comes to food calamari is a big deal lol.

I also tried chilli chocolate as a bit of a dare but it's not actually as bad as it sounds. I thought it was going to be mega spicy but it's not the chocolate kills of the spicy and there's just a warmth left behind lol

Octopus!!

I lived in Italy for 8 months and they eat it often over there... not bad, actually.

I have yet to eat oysters, and I consider myself a foodie. My whole family LOVES them. If you can do it, I can do it. Cheers to inspiration!

a beautiful letter-sounds like a pretty great weekend. I had raw beef-like minced beef-in ethiopia-kind of freaky-but hey-when in rome...

I tried haggis when I was in Scotland...and I can't imagine a life without oysters! They are delicious!

I bought the book "Blue Like Jazz" a few years back when our pastor referenced it in a sermon and it has been on our bookshelf ever since! Now that I know a movie is coming out I will be motivated to read it!

Dear Emily and Tim,
My fiancé and I just recently started reading "today's letters". Every question has made us find out more about each other and thus, grow! It's been pretty sweet! Derek is much more adventurous with food and has eaten alligator and squid. I have not eaten anything like that... Both of us, however have eaten dog food... Strange.

Blue Like Jazz was a life changer for me when I moved to Colorado, 3 years ago. Much as the way that I look at marriage differently because of this blog, that book made me look at relationship with The Big Guy differently!

Thank you for the inspiration!! ~ Kate

Hmmmm, we'll when it comes to eating, venturing too far off the menu makes me cringe, but I will say back in my college days at Mardi Gras I had frogs legs on Bourbon St. Everybody's gotta do something a little crazy in there life. This was mine. Very crunchy and does not go down easily.

I studied in Ecuador for a semester and the delicacy there was "cuy" (aka guinea pig). Very salty.

My husband and I had a great weekend staying at a B&B out of town and "getting away" for a bit. We just bought Bon Iver, Bon Iver and I have to thank you for introducing us because we literally cannot stop listening. Such great music to listen to on repeat!

Oh and I've eaten alligator before, tastes like chicken.
