Today's Letters: Dear Mr. Loerke, every year you lovingly question my bracket discernment in choosing the Jayhawks to win the National Championship. One word: ROCKFREAKINGCHALK! Dear 18 Rabbits, it's official. You're granola bars are the wind beneath my wings when it comes to my 10am hunger pains. Dear Company Cafe, on Saturday we learned your patio is perfect for afternoon pancakes and people watching. We also learned there are more unicyclers on the Katy Trail than in the Barnum & Bailey Circus. Dear Timothy James, after cooking Friday night our house still smells like India. Love you more than madras curry powder with a side of coconut oil.

Happy freaking Monday, Homies!
Em

What's your favorite kind of food? Indian? Mexican? Chinese? I have a feeling the Loerke's would both say Thai. (Husband, please confirm).

Chinese or Italian - I'm really boring when it comes to what I eat - then again I did try calamari once (it was like rubber bands - never again!).

We were very unhealthy this weekend and ate way too much junk food - it's usually a sign that the cupboard is bare and we need to go to the supermarket,

Haha! This reminds me of when we were house hunting. We went through one that my husband loved but it smelled strongly of Indian food.. And judging (which I probably shouldn't) by the home decor it wasn't just a one-time thing.

I got scared that the carpeting would permanently reek & we kept it moving. :)

Indian!! Love it.
Hubby is not convinced...yet.

He would say steak and potatoes. So boring. :) Must convert him.

Mine's Thai too! Nothing tastes quite like it! But I also love Indian and (especially) Middle Eastern cuisine.

My hubby and I love Thai food... I don't know if y'all have ever tried Bangkok Inn in Lakewood, but their pad thai and coconut ice cream/sticky rice dessert are amazing!!!

I would also have to say Thai. Favorite place in Dallas would have to be Green Mint (the Kua Kai is legit). Do you guys have a favorite?

Also, per your recommendation, my husband and I off and went to Velvet Taco this weekend. Uh-mazing!

Tacos. Anytime. Anywhere. Final answer.

I'm a little late to the party but I would definitely vote for Italian food. There is nothing better than homemade pasta and fresh Ciabatta bread to dip into the sauce. Yummy :)
