Today's Letters: Dear Mr. Loerke, while cleaning out the Fart Box you found this list from when we were dating. Glad to see you found my love for Slim Jims so attractive. Dear Backpack, somehow you eat pens just when inspiration strikes. Grateful to have stumbled upon this eco friendly solution for my Moleskine. Dear Every Body Matters, only 4 chapters in and I'm already hooked! Fist pumps for being the 2nd best Gary Thomas book I've read so far this year. Dear Timothy James (who always gets two letters), watching movies with you on a week night? Perfection.

What's your favorite road trip food? One of the first things Tim buys is an Almond Joy and an A&W Root Beer. I, on the other hand, buy these. (Big surprise).
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Whole30 Day 3: Sausage, Egg & Spinach Casserole + Fruit Smoothie, Roasted Chicken & Pickles (office lunch @ Spring Creek BBQ), 2 Mangoes, Roasted Almonds, Cinnamon Steak & Veggies, Grapes.
Whole30 Day 4: Fruit Smoothie, Roasted Almonds, Banana Bread Lara Bar, Kale Chips, Justin's Almond Butter packet, Bacon Bison Burger + Fresh Fruit, Burrito Bowl @ Chipotle, Banana Ice Cream.
Overview: Days 3 & 4 were headache free! I also had lots more energy (even felt up for a run last night w Tim Tam). I'm learning that sticking to Whole30 approved foods is already testing my discipline and integrity. I can't tell you how many times I've wanted to eat a handful of jelly beans or roll around in a piece chocolate cake with butter cream icing. This "no sugar" thing is A LOT harder than I thought it would be. Thankfully I have a husband who's willing to eat the Whole30 foods I prepare. He also encourages me to eat frozen blueberries instead of banging my head against the wall while I watch him eat gelato. Much respect to anyone who has completed this craziness!

Tootsie Roll midgets, a hot chocolate from a gas station crapucino machine, and sometimes a bag of cheddar cheese and sour cream ridged tater chips.

A coke icee is my car trip snack (drink really) of choice! And that being the case is one reason I am in awe of you and this Whole 30 thing. I just read up on it & that is legit commitment. Good luck!

Gatorade and pringles. Maybe some Slim Jims, if Hubs isn't watching!

I'm on Day 4 of the Whole30 along with 8 of my friends and family!
Healthy Dessert:

Also frozen mashed bananas with walnuts and cinnamon. Better than gelato!

We've all been posting to Pinterest to show each other fun ideas for foods to try. Dates are life savers as an early morning snack if you need some sweetness. Only one though:)
Can't wait to see more of your posts on progress! So nice to know there are other people out there working hard to eat healthy and challenge their bodies and minds with this diet!
New {diet friendly}Road Trip go to snack: Chai Lime cashews and dried mango. Trader Joe's...Mm!

That is the cutest list in the history of the world :) Well, I haven't seen all of the lists in the world, but that one is REALLY adorable.

For road trips for my family I buy Tootsie Roll pops. My hubs and 16 year old son love them and they make me feel like a kid when I eat them.

At gas station stops I buy diet coke and either Nacho Cheese Doritos or Cheetos. I eat them with thumb and forefinger only...all that cheesiness is messy but DEElish!

Husby always gets jerkey & funyuns. Nothing inherently wrong, but boy is it smelly!!

For me, cheese popcorn & a fountain coke. Or a preservative-laden packaged pastry & a 'gas capp': ) I love gas station cappuccino!

I don't know why, but I have a big, big affinity for convenience stores. Love them!

i think the hardest thing about whole 30 is breaking those sugar cravings. it's easy to replace those sweet craving but harder to break them all together! i think that's why whole 30 says not to make paleo ice creams and desserts.

here was our dinner tuesday...you won't be sorry :)

http://everydaypaleo.com/2012/01/09/beyond-easy-pulled-pork/ and made it with the purple slaw.

Cheddar pretzel combos and a rice krispie treat :) Neither of which would come close to Whole30

That list is adorable!!

We always eat Ritz crackers and Dove dark chocolate on the road! When we were kids we had just the crackers and soo much CapriSun! A ridiculous amount of CapriSun! I love road trips!!

I looked at that Whole30 thing and I admire you greatly! Since you're doing the hard part of putting the recipes together...I just may try to do it : )

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE road trips! I treat myself to a Peet's or Starbucks and get the hubs and kids fun things like cookies, trail mix and Angry Birds fruit snacks :)
