Today's Letters: Dear Mr. Loerke, since you've started working at the ER you've lost 10 pounds. This leaves me no choice but to start putting almonds and cheese fries in your scrub pockets. Dear Katie Davis, I just spent $159 on a ticket to hear you speak for 2 hours. How does one put a value on a book that's influenced their faith as much as yours? Dear Del Popolo Pizza Truck, your shipping container turned food truck is one of the most beautiful mobile eateries I've ever seen. Antonio Carluccio would be proud. Dear Husband, last night we ended the weekend by watching War Horse. Love that I can let my lower lip quiver in your presence.

Happy freaking Monday, Homies! How was your Easter weekend? We worked Fri, Sat, Sun but thankfully have today off. If I told you how I was spending my morning you'd laugh. But more on that tomorrow!

Whole30 Day 7
: Fruit Smoothie, Chili Lime Cashews, Justin's Almond Butter, Apple Pie Lara Bar, Pulled Pork Lettuce Wrap with Purple Cabbage Slaw, Banana Ice Cream.
Whole30 Day 8
: Strawberries & Pineapple, Banana Nut Lara Bar, Peppermint Tea, Jazz Apple, Justin's Almond Butter, leftover Spaghetti Squash Carbonara, leftover Pulled Pork, Banana Ice Cream.
Overview
: After day 6 my body started to curb cravings for all things sweet. Praise the Great Lion of Judah! Seriously. What the heck was I thinking starting the Whole30 in April? (Insert deep & fond affection for Cadbury Eggs rrrigh hurrr). Tim said he started noticing a difference in my skin around Day 5. His words: "Your face is starting to glow like a Christmas tree!" AWESOME. I'm also sleeping much better. Having crazy dreams, but sleeping. Btw, the Spaghetti Squash Carbonara has by far been the best Whole30 dinner we've had yet. Here's to week 2 and taking this shiz one day at a time.

Okay, I never ever cry in movies and I watched War Horse with my parents on new years eve (yes I'm an adventurous 22 year old) and bawled my face off. I don't know what happened to me.

a few questions: are you doing this with anyone, or are you just toughing it out yourself? do you think it's better to do with someone else? also, are you consuming any caffeine? I feel that it might defeat the purpose to continue to consume caffeine, but I haven't been able to find anything that says a person can't have it while doing the whole30. continued to be encouraged by your endurance! I want skin that glows like a christmas tree.

Oh my goodness, I want to hunt down this food truck and eat the pizza/live in the truck for forever. Coolest thing I have ever seen.

Consider me inspired! My man and I are starting Whole30 this Sunday, April 15 through May 14. Eek!
Thanks for the inspiration!
What are we getting ourselves into? - Lord, help me!

bs, thanks! happy (belated) easter to you!

rach, some of our favorite new years eve celebrations have included take out and movies on the couch.

laine, for 180k i could live in it too! nicer than our condo ;)

kelley, not doing it with anyone, but have great accountability and support from friends. a few of them have done whole30 before, so their wisdom has been such an encouragement! would def recommend doing whole30 with a friend (two are better than one), but you can still do it on your own. and i haven't been a caffeine drinker for close to 5 years so this part was not hard for me to give up :)

whit, if i can do it anyone can! you are smart to do it with your husband. tim has been great about eating the meals i prepare which has made the world of difference.

Hey Emily,
What resources are you using for Whole30? I am starting today and have read the majority of the articles for free on their site, but was wondering if there is one general "guidebook" somewhere for free?

lace, just using the web for recipes and ideas. i did not buy the ebook but have picked all of my friend's brains who have already completed whole30. check the whole30 website and health bent for some good recipes.

Hi! I was just wondering where you are going to hear Katie speak and how you found out! I'm planning a missions trip to Uganda that includes seeing her and her ministry, would love to hear her speak.
