Dear Mr. Loerke, you are the man who regularly reminds me to dive head first into things. I love you for this. Dear White Rock Lake, they say the first river you ever paddle runs through you the rest of your life. Thanks for being a close second to the Colorado on Saturday. Dear Chapter 9, you were like riding my bici home in the rain. #painfullyexhilarating. Dear Timothy James (who always gets two letters), before we met I never listened to jazz, spent so much time in these, or understood the difference between my Latissimus Dorsi and Sterno Cleido Mastoid. Love you more than shaky legs after a run.

Happy freaking Monday, Homies! Do you typically jump head first into things or feet first? Confession: sometimes I crawl, but Tim has helped me grow so much in this area. Reason #272 why boy roommates are awesome.

Sometimes I dip my toe in and creep in slowly inch by painful inch. It's one of the things I hate most about myself. I wish I was a dive head first kind of girl! I'm working on it. . .

Head first. It's a lot scarier, but it's also a lot more fulfilling in the end.

You always ask me questions I've never thought about before. Head first into a bee hive & feet first into cold water from 30 feet up.

There have been too many times I think I've dipped my feet in and jumped right back out. My husband likes to toss me in like a sack of potatoes...it's helpful!
