Dear Mr. Loerke, I might cry a lot on our road trip today. I promise these will be happy tears. Dear Woody Wagon, next to dad's VW Bus you were my favorite car growing up. Here's to one day owning your goodness again. Dear Grocery Store Lady, I knew we should be friends the moment I saw you buying a bottle of cheap wine and a key lime pie after church. #Kindreds. Dear Timothy James, you help me calculate tips, arrive places on time, and accept compliments. Love you for this.

What's been your favorite car? I've only had 2, both have been Exploders. They've been good to me.

I started saving for a car by selling 7 beanie babies when I was 9 years old (I made $765!) The summer before I turned 16, I bought a 1989 Volv0 240DL - She was a beaut. White with blue interior, and she even had heated seats! I'll never forget my gal Sal, and I also hope one day to own her again!

I've had three cars since passing my test, Ford Fiesta, Fiat Seicento Sporting and Daihatsu Sirion.

I loved my Fiat the most. It was sunshine yellow and you couldn't miss it in the car park.

I'd like to own a Prius or Leaf and some point but I might have to stick with being a petrolhead for now. Electric/Hybrids are still so expensive.

And I've got a warning light on my car now so that needs to be sorted!

My first car was a little, tan Mazda Protege. His name was Pedro. (yes, I know naming a car a boy name breaks some sort of cardinal rule)

I literally cried when I found out he was totalled after an unfortunate run in with black ice. CRIED! Now anytime I see one out and about, I get crazy sentimental.

My most favorite car was a 1990 Isuzu Trooper that I bought in college for $2500. It was black with lots of chrome and I loved it madly. His name was Chewie because when I put it in reverse he made that yodely-screamy sound that Chewbaca makes. Awesome. I had to sell Chewie, and always regretted it, so now I haul my three kiddos around in a 1999 Isuzu Trooper named Teddy. You love what you love, right?

Have a safe road trip!

Drove a 1974 International Scout for 2 years. It was camo, which probably doesn't surprise you. And jacked up with a sweet lift that would make any guy jealous. But it was a money pit and had to leave my life. Someday....I'll get another one.

My red Charger. I also named mine... McQueen. My kids thinks it looks like Lightening McQueen from Cars from the front.
