Dear Mr. Loerke, before we met I had never done a lac repair, kayaked by the Mendenhall Glacier, or waited 2 hours in line for the best BBQ I've ever tasted. Love experiencing these things with you. Dear C.S. Lewis, thanks for the reminder to never put my happiness in something I may lose. Change can happen so fast. Dear Ruibal's Nursery, you'll always be one of my favorite places to get lost in. That and hardware stores. Dear Husband, you fixing the washing machine this weekend? Freaking SEXY.

Happy freaking Monday, Homies! What's one of your favorite places to get lost in? I bet Tim would say REI and Central Market. #justahunch

Smiling at first comment as I was going to ask same thing: where are those sandals from?!

We love Northaven Garden Center! Have you been? Northaven and 75ish... just wind west of 75 down Northaven and you'll find it. Love that place! We have gotten chickens there, veggie starters, great soil and compost, apple trees, black berry and blue berry bushes, and a pomegranate tree!

A giant, old library. It feels like visiting a new country with new smells and sounds. I love getting lost in a library.

Yo Dawgs!
Noticed a sudden increase recently in posts of the 'fly-fishing' nature. David James Duncan's (author of my fav book, "The Brothers K" - which I've read every year since college) first novel, "The River Why" was turned into a movie last year, and it just dropped on Netflix Instant! Duncan's a fly fisherman, environmentalist and writer - his 2 novels are AWE-SOME (esp. Brother's K - based-ish on "Brothers Karamazov"), and so is his non-fiction stuff. And "The River Why" is all about life and fly fishing. Enjoy! (and read "The Brothers K")

I'm that way in Central Market too! The one on Mockingbird smells like they pump fresh orange juice perfume through the vents!
