{Husband's Letter}

Tuesday, August 07, 2012

Dear Emma, The past six nights I've had to work the 4pm-4am shift and only get to see you for a brief hour or so in the afternoon. Last night I came home to a dark house and a sleeping wife. When I crawled into the biscuit my heart skipped a beat when I felt the leather backing of our journal underneath my pillow. Do you know how blessed I am to be married to a woman who intentionally pursues me like you do? I am honored when you let me know you've been thinking about me when I'm not around. Know that I love you more than regular hours at the ER and lazy Saturday mornings spent laughing in the biscuit.

Over and out,
Tim

Speaking of lazy Saturday mornings, what's your favorite way to spend yours? Lately we've been sleeping in, making bacon & eggs, and going to the farmer's market to buy tomatoes from Mr. Lemley. Dallas friends, his tomatoes are the best!

Em is such a sweetie :) I'd love to come home to a home written note tucked under my pillow. I came home to a loaded dishwasher that had been ran. I'd cooked dinner and then was looking for a fork to eat with so opened the door and got attacked by warm steam - my glasses were so steamed up that I had to take them off to start eating lol.

Our favourite way to spend a lazy morning is sleeping in and having tea and a chat in bed - then we usually spend most of the day in our pj's and only change when we absoulutely have to! Pajama days are the best!

Your marriage inspires me so much. Here's to having one similar when I'm older :) On Saturdays, I like to sleep in, make myself some breakfast, and go thrift shopping!

Love,

K

Definitely sleeping! Drinking our coffee. Gathering eggs. Walking the dogs with fresh conversation to look forward to. Crawling back in bed...hmmmm #yes

Sleeping in is mandatory for a Saturday morning! Later I like to make French toast for breakfast and then spent most of the day reading and sipping delicious tea. Or spending the day with the rest of the family in our backyard talking and laughing. Depends on whether I feel like spending the day by myself or in great company :)

I revel quiet Saturday mornings filled with extra sleep, tea, some Psalms, and a good Robin McKinley book. I love Robin McKinley's books. :)
