{Husband's Letters}

Tuesday, August 14, 2012

Dear Mrs. Loerke, You sure know how to spell love ... B-A-C-O-N! Thanks for the chocolate you left in the bathroom by my toothpaste yesterday. Dear Change, Sometimes I get scared when you become a reality. I have been learning to trust in the process and break loose from what's comfortable. I'm excited to see what the future holds for Em and I! Dear Growth, you are always painful, but necessary. I'm thankful for patient friends and a patient wife. Dear Emily Anne (who always gets two letters), You are more beautiful today than you were on our wedding day. How can this be? I'm so lucky to be your husband.

Does change scare you or excite you? Any new things on the horizon?

I love change, even when it's scary. I graduated in May, moved from Texas to Georgia. Started a new job two weeks ago and am getting married on Saturday. BRING IT ON, LIFE. :)

Change is always scary for me. My job is changing and my hubby & i just bought our first home...both of these are good and blessings-but scary. Thanks for reminding us that we all share the same worries.

I do well with change when I'm prepared for it (like a new process at work, or an upcoming trip or move). When change comes unexpectedly, man alive....it is HARD. I often need the rationale for the change in order to help deal with it and be supportive of it (even when I don't agree with it).

And, ummm....I think I need to order that chocolate bar for MY husband! NICE!

Change is inevitable, but I hate it. When Matt and I moved here I cried for 3 months straight. It got worse when we went to visit my family....I remember one visit to NC to see my parents, and my mom had a new kitchen sink. I felt blindsided and actually cried over it...

Change is definitely scary! I'm about to change my major which here means new college, new town, new people, basically new life. It's exciting but really really scary too :-)

Hmmm...what kind of change??? A little bit of a tease. I don't mind change if I know about it!

Tim Tam,
I think it's all in how you look at it. Change can be liberating, exciting and scary all at the same time, but if you look at change as the glass is half-full then it should always turn out well. Regardless of if we fight it or not it's going to happen so why not just embrace it?

Tomorrow will bring change! Hubby & I are moving to New Jersey from the Black Hills. Change change change. We are both excited, yet terrified of this change. Bring it on!

I am not good with changes at all! :( I always admire people who adopt to new situations fast and well.. wish I would be like that!

Aren't americans know for moving often, selling and buying houses quite sometimes in their life ... here most of the time a house is a life-long home... I can only wonder how you adopt to new situations so well!
