Dear Mr. Loerke, this weekend we got to ask for each other's forgiveness at least three times. Thanks for working hard to keep short accounts with me. Dear Ten Bells Tavern, your fish & chips and Franconia Wheat on tap left me no choice but to eat at you twice in one day. {Insert new favorite summer pub here}. Dear Louisville, it's been 12 years since I last visited the Bluegrass State. Pretty sure we're going to be fast friends this week. Dear Timothy James, 1 universe, 9 planets, 204 countries, 809 islands, 7 seas, and I had the privilege of meeting you. So thankful!

Happy freaking Monday! How was your weekend? Hope it was filled with good things that both challenged and encouraged you. Ps- have you ever been to Louisville before? What did you think?

It's such a cute place! My family lived in Georgetown (little nearby suburb) when I was little. Six Flags, Cardinals, and Polly Freeze Ice Cream.

p.s. there are two ways to say Louisville... take your pick and don't let anyone correct you. LouYville/ LouISville.

p.p.s. it's often confused as the Capital of KY. Fatal geography mistake I've made more than once.

Oh my gosh those fish and chips are making me drool! Looks like you had a great weekend. I spent my weekend with the hubs at our first birth class.

Huzzah! Louisville is home! It's a wonderful city. And as a TRUE native, I can promise you that the only correct way to pronounce it is LouAvul, all in one syllable. Any other way and we know you're not from around here... Have fun!

I lived in Louisville as a kid. My thoughts on Louisville: Derby (pie)! Steamboats! Hot Browns! Leaves! Apples! You should probably "catch the Belle of Louisville (it's the big red boat)" if it's still operating... also, anyone else remember that jingle?!? And finally, I completely agree with Laura above, there is only one way to pronounce it.
