This weekend I got to do normal with friends in Lou. It was GLORIOUS! Highlights included: watching Molls do a video shoot at Hermitage Farm with Jaclyn Journey and Josh Meredith of OMC, eating Simply Thai down by the Waterfront, hanging out with old and new friends at Four Pegs, sleeping in past 10am, having a 3 hr lunch with Morg at Blue Dog Cafe, getting caught in the rain at Garage Bar, sharing a meal with this sweet girl at Harvest, spending the afternoon at the Flea Off Market with these three, picking black cherry tomatoes at the bungalow, going to church at Sojourn, walking the pups down Frankfort Ave, and eating fish and chips at The Blind Pig in Butchertown. {My belly has never been happier!}. Thankful for time with faraway friends that I don't deserve. Here's to being known and loved!

Glad you like Louisville! You hit some of our great spots! The Four Pegs is one of my favorite spots in town. Their fried green tomatoes are delicious!

So thankful you came! Lou Loves You.
More than beet salad with made-in-house ricotta & sitting on sidewalks at outdoor flea markets.

Hello, I just found your blog via Pinterest. I love the ten things to help your marriage thrive. My husband and I were married earlier this summer in June. I can't wait for him to get home tonight so we can talk about the metal box, 5 questions every Sunday, and the journal! How does the journal work? When do we write in it, what do we write in there, etc etc??? Thank you so much!! Needless to say, you have gained a new follower! :) ~~Lauren

lauren & divergurl, tim gave me a journal on our 1st wedding anniversary which we started calling our "traveling journal." basically we pass it back and forth (about every week - every other week), hiding it for the other person to find. it's a time to encourage one another about the positive things we see in e/o. it is NOT an opportunity to beat each other over the head about things we're doing wrong. we're both big words of affirmation people so this is a creative way for both of us to stay emotionally connected. there's really no right or wrong way to do it. we just write on one page, hide it, then wait for the other person to write and hide it again! hope this answers your question :)

Hey, you made it to my hometown! Love the places you visited. Our Market St. area - also known as the NuLu district - is such fun. It's great to see an area booming with new, locally-owned businesses. Glad you had a great time - love the images!
