While in California we ...
Drank free coffee at Subrosa.
Traveled by foot.
Stuffed our bocas with homemade blueberry donuts at Local123.
Hiked among the redwoods in Joaquin Miller Park.
Ate bourbon ice cream at Scream.
Found our happy place among succulents at Flowerland.
Saw Ben Howard sing his heart out at the Fillmore.
Watched Twinner sling coffee at the Airstream.
Purchased Kerouac goodness at City Lights Books.
Watched seals lay in piles at Pier 39.
Drank beer in Mason Jars at Homeroom.
And spent an afternoon stealing grapes from the V. Sattui vineyard in Napa.
We. were. spoiled.
Happy Thursday, friends.
Here's to {almost} making it to the weekend!
Ps- to see more photos of our trip go here, here, and here.

How blessed you two are to be able to travel together so much. My parents have always stressed the importance of spending time together {away} from the craziness (or mundaneness) of daily life. Y'all are an inspiration. Keep on keepin' on!

Ah, I love the quote from Mr. Rogers at Flowerland! Did you ever see the remix from PBS? Oh, my heart feels full just thinking about it!

Here's the video, if you've never enjoyed this magic: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OFzXaFbxDcM

Glad you enjoyed this beautiful state! I actually was camping in the redwoods this weekend but got extremely sick...so it wasn't exactly a grand ol' time like it sounds like you had!

I got married at V. Sattui 14 years ago! We now live in Napa- I'm sorry I missed that you were going to be out here. I would have loved to have offered our house as a place to rest after wine tasting!

Oh, California. I always say I wouldn't want to live there again, but I think it's where my heart belongs. Well, at least in Northern California, even though I'm from Southern California. I'm not sure I'd be willing to live in the maze/rat race of Los Angeles again.
