Dear Mr. Loerke, You let me stick my cold feet on your ribs after I get up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. Reason #274 why boy roommates are AWESOME. Dear Cheryl Strayed, Ten chapters into your book and I've officially added hiking the PCT to my bucket list. Your story is amazing. Dear Self, The places you've been, the friends you've made, and the lessons you've learned this year have been beyond humbling. Twenty twelve will be hard to beat. Dear Timothy James, yesterday's delayed flight meant you spent the night in Detroit. Hurry home. This girl misses the sheet out of you.

How was your weekend? Any highlights? Time in California with Twinner was amazing! I'll post photos of our trip soon. Tim also had the time of his life in Louisville last week. Job interview #2 = success. Yep.

Love it that you are back at writing letters. Of course I loved seeing all your other posts too. Especially the amazing pictures of your trip to Asheville. And I'm looking forward to seeing those Cali pictures. But your daily letters will always be my favorite part of your blog! Hands down.

My highlight of the weekend was having delicious coffee and great conversation with one of my dearest friends who I haven't seen for 2 months because she was vacationing in Texas :-)

Sounds like you guys are BUSY!!

Have a great week! Oh, and the highlight of my weekend was...wait for it...sleep! (I did enjoy my girl's Bible Study, though).

Em, First off job interviews in Kentucky = potentially moving away from Texas. Insert (that would make me sad)
Weekend Highlights....open range horseback riding (and I mean riding) in Marble falls, banana cream pie at Blue Bonnet Cafe, sleeping through a thunderstorm and common grounds coffee on the way home. Excellent!

No major highlights. Just hanging with my best in Berkeley. Hiking in Yosemite. Stopping at fruit stands and eating peach rings. Seeing my favorite musician in concert. Laughing at the sea lions at pier 39. Driving all the way to Napa just to sample cheese & wine. Eating Baller food. There were a few other things but yea it was no big deal.

I knew he'd do it! : ) Congrats!!

Weekend=watching my 9yr old son bake and decorate cakes for the fall carnival (spidey 2012 face and symbiote spidey face - very well done I must say); running back and forth between said fall carnival and 15yr old's vball tourney (took 1st! yay!); hearing a soul filling message at church on Sunday; and grabbing little patches of time here and there to read Jane Eyre for the first time ever! It was a great weekend!!

The more the miles between us, the greater the love I have for you two. So glad Timmy met with success in Lou, and that our girls were together doing what they do best....appreciating their lives together!

You should check out Tiny Beautiful Things by Cheryl Strayed. They're beautiful and heartbreaking letters that she wrote as Dear Sugar. Or you can read them on therumpus.net! Can't wait to read Wild :)

highlights of this weekend: a birthday bonfire for a friend complete with hot apple cider- perfect fall night; celebrating with friends during their rehearsal dinner, wedding, and morning-after breakfast; a young life banquet full of joy, love and hearts Jesus has transformed; and finally, laughing with my sweet hubby and dancing until we were literally falling asleep standing up on the dance floor. so much goodness. I am so grateful.

I've been told time and time again that I'd love Wild. I need to move that book up to the top of my TBR pile ASAP!

Love your blog. Was just at the Dallas public library on Skillman and saw a notice on the bulletin board that Charyl Strayed is speaking in Dallas at a library fundraiser on Oct 24. Thought you might be interested. While I have not met you I know there are lots of people here who will miss you. I think Louisville sounds like a great adventure!
