{Why We Travel}

Monday, November 26, 2012

"If we don't offer ourselves to the unknown, our senses dull. Our world becomes small and we lose our sense of wonder. Our eyes don't lift to the horizon; our ears don't hear the sounds around us. The edge is off our experience, and we pass our days in a routine that is both comfortable and limiting. We wake up one day and find that we have lost our dreams in order to protect our days. This is why we travel."
-S. Ward Harrison

I'm grateful to have spent the past couple of days at one of my favorite places.
Can't believe we only have 6 more weeks in Texas.
Here's to soaking up every last minute.

I fully understand WHY you travel (it's one of my favorite things in life). I'm more interested in HOW you're able to travel so much! What with taking time off work, travel expenses, etc...I'm not really asking, I'm just saying I have been mystified these past several months watching you guys jetset all over the place! If you have any tips on how to travel more, I'd love to hear them, but till then, more power to ya! And keep the awesome photos and great little stories coming. :)

Beautiful quote. Traveling makes us feel more alive. It reminds us not to take stuff for granted.

I also have six weeks left at the place where I live right now and I totally understand the part of "soaking it all up". Enjoy!

Here's to traveling and living in new cities. Texas will be missin' you, but Louisville is gonna treat you well - take care of her while I'm gone! Life is good. Thankful for a week with your best and that little dude River.

I just stumbled across this blog via pinterest...you two are amazing and full of Gods love. I am blessed by your careful attention to one another and desperately want the closeness you two have in my marriage...
Question for you. I'd like to start some of these ideas with my hubs. We are very busy with 3 kids. I stay home and he works. We are both tired at the end of our weekdays. How would you advise us making this a priority and encouraging my husband to be on board with some of these ideas?
If you could please take the time to email me I would appreciate it so much. Klevents@live.com

Thank you!

That sky is BEAU-TI-FUL! When I see a sky like that I can just imagine God tucked behind one of the clouds.
