{Today's Letters & A Special Birthday}

Monday, January 28, 2013

Dear Husband, 847 miles and 4 trout later you finally made it to Louisville. Welcome home! Dear Molls Magee Roberson, today is your 25th birthday. Last year we climbed windmills, camped in the Blue Ridge Mountains, fly fished on the Davidson, hiked Half Dome, stole grapes from V. Sattui's vineyard in Napa, kept Austin weird, and learned how to sling clay on the pottery wheel. I couldn't ask for a better best. Can't wait to see all of the adventures this year holds! Thanks for being born. Dear Basa, four points for making me want to do the truffle shuffle after eating your macadamia nut cake with caramel espresso gelato. You were worth the two hour wait. Dear Timothy James, last week we bought a house. WE BOUGHT A FREAKING HOUSE! Here's to 107 year old bungalows with creaky hardwoods for shimmying, front porches for swinging, pocket doors for sliding, cellars for canning, third story studios for writing, and claw foot tubs for bathing. We. are. blessed.

Happy Monday, brave ones! Hope your weekend was full of learning new things and spending time with people you know and love. What are you looking forward to today?

Happy Birthday, Molly! I'm looking forward to a day of reading about my passion...emergency medicine! Sitting at Quills with a steamy brew at my right, a beautiful city at my back, and a cozy environment that surrounds. So grateful for today!

Congrats on home!! Such an exciting time / new frontier.

Had awesome weekend filled with nothing much and yet everything I needed. Very blessed by small moments of unexpected joy.

Looking forward to the hope planted in my heart for a change in the future of hubby and I - and the shared fear and excitement that brings.

You inspire me to be better not only with my own husband, but with my friendships as well! I ask myself all the time how someone I've never actually met can impact me in such a great way! Thank you so much!

Also-congrats on the house! Pocket doors and claw foot tubs are my dream.
