{Gratitude} Lately

Monday, February 18, 2013

Lately I've been thankful for Sunday traditions and baristas who whisper before 9am.

For basement burgers and truffle fries.

For handcrafted gifts and the anticipation of spring.

For monthly baking goals and bread that rises.

For freshly squeezed OJ and the selflessness of others.

For afternoon coffee and consistent wavers.

And for rocky mountain chai served with a side of intentional conversations.
What have you been grateful for lately?
Here's to gratitude and how it turns everything into enough.
Happy Monday, brave ones!

Love this list.

For me:
For a husband that is behind me 100%. I don't know what I'd do if he wasn't.
For laughter and tea and autocorrect fails that make my day.
And for reminders that, though this world is less than what God intended us for, He gives us glimpses of His perfection, if we're willing to see them. "We can complain because rose bushes have thorns, or we can rejoice because thorn bushes have roses." (Abraham Lincoln). Thankful for roses on thorny days.

I wanted to tell you guys about an upcoming show in the Lou! Dear friends of mine (from Nashville) started a band Lulu Mae (lulumaemusic.com). They are playing at Wick's on March 8th. They make some incredible music!

Here is a link to "listening notes" a blogger wrote about their album The Mockingbird and the Dogwood Tree. http://ht.ly/hK6Bg

for visitors that pop round to the flat on the way back from the airport, to friends that organise trips that you are going on and for a strong and healthy body that is going to take me on the Seville marathon on Sunday.

For sweet messages from far away friends,
for the kindness of a stranger,
for encouraging words from my parents,
for the good health of my grandma who will turn 83 on Sat,
for a new roommate who makes me feel welcome,
and for the opportunity to move to the city of my dreams in 2 weeks!
As always, thank you for the reminder to find the little things in life which make all the difference.

So...I'm visiting my uncle in Louisville and I looked up your blog for some cool places to visit. I pulled up your post about Hammerhead's, Quill's and Hillbilly Tea and my uncle says those are his favorite places!! Basically, tomorrow is going to be epic. Thanks for the recommendations.
