Dear Mr. Loerke, while passing through Asheville on Sunday I couldn't help but think about our fishing trip there last fall. The South Mills River gave you one of the most beautiful brown's I've ever seen! Dear Bek, last week we made lots of progress on your new chicken coop. Thankful to have another woman in my life who knows how to operate a circular saw. Dear South Carolina, yesterday we got 9 hours of sleep, watched 2 movies, and ate 4 different kinds of cake before 3pm. I love this state. Dear Timothy James, today is National Pistachio Day. Pretty sure this means we should celebrate by baking these. Over and out.

Happy Tuesday! What have you been baking lately?

Hello from South Carolina! I discovered your blog, along with Wanderlost and A Well Traveled Woman, just this weekend. I'm not even sure how I stumbled upon them but they are great! I have devoured your "Adventure" pages. Anyways, we always take a mountain trip in the fall and I told the man today that I wanted to head to Asheville this time and fish with our three little ones. I hear there is a great arboretum close by too. Our chicken coop is almost done and we are expanding our garden this year! The babes are eating us out of house and home! Love the blog! Haley

Favorite thing to bake: Brownies and chocolate chip cookies. I have a go-to recipe for both of them and can never get enough of either one of them :)

Love your insta's from South Carolina! They make me long for a day at the beach and some quality time with my best friend :)
