Dear Mr. Loerke, before my class last night you filled Griswold up with gas and put air in his tires. Reason #277 why boy roommates are AWESOME. Dear Asheville, while walking around town I saw the above sitting on a window ledge. Thanks for reminding me to be grateful for every piece of bread I eat. Dear River, before 9am yesterday you had A) peed in your crate B) removed all plastic rain gutters from the right side of the house C) threw up your breakfast in the living room or D) all of the above. You're good for me. Dear Timothy James, it takes 14 days for Finch eggs to hatch. That's how long I have to learn what the word escrow means before we close on our house. Wish me luck.

Last week I returned to Asheville for the third time since September. That city will always have a special place in my heart! What's one of your favorite cities to visit?

New York City. My heart races and feels alive every time I visit. By day 7, I am ready for home in Nashvegas, but thankful for the love NYC showed me.

Logan, Utah. I was born there, my husband and I were married there, we went to USU there, both of our daughters were born there (the oldest was a silent baby), and they have the best shakes EVER at Charlie's. I swear it. If you ever visit that lovely little town, go to Charlie's....and you're welcome! :)

Asheville! I lived there for 5 years and recently moved out to Colorado. I love it here but my heart is always in Asheville as well.

I love love love Asheville! It is my home now and I love how weird it is and how down-home at the same time! Please, if you come back on a weekend, you MUST visit The Rock Church on Monte Vista Road in Candler (outskirts of Asheville)! I know you will LOVE it!

hi em,
this comment doesn't relate to your post... but-- i've always wondered: what is it about letter writing that just seems "right" for you? i've always felt the same way and can't put the sense of how it feels "right" to words. maybe you can help? :)

letter writing = slow communication in a fast paced world. #refreshing!

Hi! I'm really intrigued by your blog. At first it was just the name and design, but after reading this post, I appreciate it for itself :-). One of my favorite cities to visit is Wuerzburg, Germany. Hahah hope international cities are allowed! It's not very big but is at the end of the romantic road in Germany. In the center of it lies a palace designed after the one in Versailles and at a hill above it is a huge fortress originally built by the Romans! It's absolutely breathtaking and I called it home the last two years. Anyways, super long comment!
I'm your latest follower on GFC!
Feel free to stop by anytime :-)
