{Today's Letters}

Wednesday, May 01, 2013

Dear Mr. Loerke, you live for fireworks displays, like to share your beignets with River, and sometimes put clean Tupperware in the fridge when you can't remember which cabinet it goes in. You're cute. Dear KY Derby, t-minus four days until hats the size of Texas invade this city. Lord Jesus come quick. Dear Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead, your documentary inspired the Harvest House to start Whole30 again today. Thankful to own one of these so we can sip juice on the front porch while our homies sip their gin. Dear Husband {who always gets two letters}, yesterday you picked up dog poop for 20 minutes while I spent time in the garden. Your selfless heart challenges me.

Happy May, brave ones! Wake up, wake up, it's tha 1st of tha month. Get up, get up, get up, go cash yo checks and get up. Sheesh. Two 90's rap references already ... someone call Ice Cube and tell him it's gonna be a good day.

My Hubby and I watched Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead and another (name slipping my mind) documentary in January that inspired us to switch our entire lifestyle to organic- food, cleaners, toiletries, my makeup-everything. It's been great!

I just discovered your blog via pinterest and have been uplifted and encouraged by your words of love to your husband. Our marriage is still a baby (4 months this sunday), but we're already seeing how important it is to be intentional and creative in our quest to love each other.

It's also cool to happen across someone else from Louisville! We're bracing for the Derby onslaught with you :)

Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead is one of my FAVES! Praise the sweet Lawd for Netflix!

The Bybels and the littlest McLaughlin will be joining y'all on Whole30 in just 2 weeks...for the.whole.freakin'.summer. It has been declared "The Summer of Health and Wellness."

Miss seeing you around Waterworld, friend! So glad to see y'all are settling down so well in Louisville! :)

If you like fireworks displays, hit Cincinnati on the Sunday of Labor Day Weekend for Riverfest. Most amazing fireworks. Ever. Also, check out the Cincinnati Reds baseball schedule. They do fireworks once a month after a home game, also so fun. (Reds almost always have $5 dollar tickets to home games (unless it’s a biggie.) Great American Ballpark is such a great stadium for watching a ballgame and life on the river. Check out the Kroger concession stand at the far end of level 2... everything’s a dollar there. And walk across the Purple People Bridge into Newport!

You guys are so cute! I've been reading for a while, and your love for each other never ceases to amaze me.
I just started my first Whole30 on May 2nd, partially inspired by your first one. So far, so good. Good luck with your second!
