{Gratitude} Lately

Thursday, July 11, 2013

Lately I've been thankful for little feet and babes who sleep.

For outdoor beer gardens and friends who travel across the miles.

For homemade crusts and gifted spoons from my favorite thrift store in Kansas City.

For new life in nests and turtle doves outside our window.

For blackberries & thyme from the garden and wainscoted walls in our kitchen.

For sunny mornings when fish don't bite and clouds as soft as cotton.

For community breakfasts and the best chocolate chip pancakes I've ever tasted.

And for fresh flowers at the top of our stairs and photography that inspires me.
What have you been grateful for lately?
Here's to gratitude and how it turns everything into enough.
Happy Thursday, brave ones.

Here's to gratitude and how it turns everything into enough. I'm writing a rendition of that on my blackboard along with your line on gratitude from the ice cream post.

Things I am grateful for: For friends who have loved me through four and a half years of working full time and going to school, for a husband who thinks I'm cute even after 25 years of marriage, for our Father who gives us new mercies every morning.

I love your gratitude posts!!! I also really like the table in your last picture. Was it thriftier? Did you make it?

I'm grateful for living close to family and friends, for a husband who blesses me daily with love and grace, for sunshine and evening walks at dusk.

I am thankful for people who write words and take pictures that inspire me. I am thankful for the first month of marriage and a husband who has more patience and unconditional love than I could ask for. I am thankful for new adventures and the craving for new hobbies.

I hope you and those in your world have a wonderful weekend. Thanks for inspiring me in marriage, friendship and outdoor adventures.

I am grateful for the gift of life--every day filled with treasures and timeless moments, memories and a mind that mostly retains them for recall.

I am also grateful that our rental property finally has someone to move in and love it as much as I do. And for weekends spent with my beloved doing things and nothings.

Always feel grateful for the inspiration I find from your blog. I especially love the baby legs (adorable!) and that beautiful last picture of your table and flowers and photography books. Great design.

Let's never forget to share gratitude. It makes the world a better place.
Thanks for sharing your gratitude. It makes me smile and it reminds me of respecting little things (like that cute baby feet :) )

anony, no we didn't make the table in the last pic. it was a birthday gift from tim last year! he found the old tin type drawers at one of my favorite flea markets back in dallas.

Thankful for inspiration and people who share their talents.

Grateful for brothers with strong arms who can carry heavy boxes and couches when it's moving time.

Grateful for silly sisters who enjoy giggling over tea and wearing vintage lockets.

Grateful for podcasts that make me think and music that helps me wake up (even more than coffee) on dreary rainy days.

Grateful for a husband who still thinks I'm cute and gets ridiculously turned on by the sight of a sports bra (seriously, how easy is marriage sometimes?).

Grateful for hummingbirds that visit my feeder and baby birds in their nest on my front porch.
