Dear Mr. Loerke, thank you for tucking in the chickens at night when I forget to close the coop. Without you Bacon & Eggs would be scrambled. Dear Hillbilly Tea, stairs like yours make me thankful I don't have to take an elevator. You're perfect. Dear Labor Day Weekend, three days of camping, fishing, and backpacking in the Blue Ridge Mountains? Yes, please! Dear Timothy James, this time last year I was in Ethiopia eating my weight in injera and meeting Moti. So thankful for all of our adventures and the reminder that we've been given much.

Happy Monday, brave ones! What are your Labor Day plans this year?

Haven't thought that far - enjoying summer for the first time in years. Think we might go see family in the SC. Long weekend of doing nothing but hanging with family and old friends.

Thanks for daily reminders to thank my hubby for the little things and God for all the things we am blessed with.

I definitely need to go camping for Labor Day too, but nothing is booked! Maybe we'll venture to Mt. Shasta or Lassen, both deserving of a 3-4 rather than 2 day weekend.

As a kid, we always walked Mackinac Bridge on Labor Day weekend. I was young so my dad carried me on his shoulders most of the way. Then we would ride bikes around the island and eat ice cream and fried white fish. Best kid memories! My dad died when I was ten but I've taken my kids to the island and it was just as fun.

We're moving over Labor Day! We just had an offer accepted on our first house. We're excited and scared all at the same time. :)
