{Gratitude} Lately

Sunday, August 04, 2013

Lately I've been thankful for growing fingerling potatoes in our garden and bees mid-flight.

For marriages restored and friends who love at all times.

For people who work hard for their money and the best Rocky Mountain Chai.

For breakfast for four and extra thick French toasty.

For lazy Saturday mornings and dogs who keep our feet warm.

For chickens who give the middle feather and shake it like a Polaroid picture.

For the best company at dinner and no fries left behind.

For brothers who visit from Florida and friends who share cinnamon rolls.

For split ivy in Mason jars and homegrown tomatoes in our kitchen window.

For blue skies and pups with velvet ears and cold noses.

And for healing poison ivy and summer evenings on the front porch.
Here's to gratitude and how it turns everything into enough.
What have you been thankful for lately?
Happy Monday, brave ones.

Beautiful!
Friends across the world that make you feel that no time has passed.
Sitting next to a stranger on a flight that becomes a friend.
For long runs and a medal at the end of it!!

I don't know them or their story, but I got tears in my eyes when I saw the picture of a family together again. Praise the Lord!

For my sweet husband who finds the joy in every day, and the sweetest random compliment received from a total stranger yesterday. For taking the time to be with those who refresh and recharge me.

For alaskas bounty of Sockeye Salmon fishing with no limits. For my autistic child who has showed me a new life. For vanilla white chocolate mocha breaks and for remembering that you only live once and gosh darn if I want that fried okra I am going for it. For short deployments to Afghanistan and phone calls that ease my heartBOX. :) for today's letters that remind me to slow down and breath. -Kimberly

I love your photos and the way you pay attention to the details in your life. Inspiration to take the time to slow down a little.

i am grateful that our God is SO SO SO SO SO SO GOOD! He never gives us anything beyond what we can handle, and His timing (though often difficult to accept) is so perfect.

I'm grateful for jobs without uniforms and closets with "new" old stuff!
For stay-cations that involve exploring my own backyard.
For decade long friendships and friends who put feelings into words you didn't have.

And for surviving a year after being diagnosed with a brain tumor I was told I should have never been known I had. Celebrating a year post op this month. Life is worth living. Living is so lovely.

God is good, and prayers are answered. For today, that is enough...and isn't it everything? ;-)

I am grateful for it all... But most especially when I slow down enough, stay still and quiet enough to recognize the beauty of this life. Thank you Heavenly Father. Thank you for Today's Letters

Thankful for grandmothers who are steady and strong and still cook their (very grown) grandchildren breakfast when we visit. Farm animals and children the magic when they are together. And cold brewed iced coffee.
